The company said "we'll increase the flow from 4 to 5 pilots/month immediately. Additionally, we'll increase the flow thereafter by 1 additional flow (up to a total of 8) for every 62 additional Captains on property after January 1, 2016." Well, guess what. The company decides how many pilots get to upgrade and who many pilots will be on property after January 1, 2016. And so far, we're at a net increase of ZERO Captains in 2016.

Why did the company make this offer??? My guess is that they realize that the pilots are the best recruiters they can have. And pilots who are motivated to increase the flow will be motivated to help "sell" PSA to potential new hires,....... until those same pilots realize that they've been duped.

I voted "no" to accepting the company's offer to increase flow because:
(1) you NEVER accept a first offer and
(2) we were giving away our leverage to get something better by holding out.

But the majority of pilots held the belief that the company was offering something for nothing and we'd be crazy to turn that down. Well,..... turns out,..... the company was offering NOTHING for nothing! And that's what we got!

New rumor has that our higher up came into a recurrent class to say that there will be no more 700's and likely return of their 700's back to them if need be. 200 won't get parked and possibly no ORD base.

I can see it now. "Envoy steals psa's envoy 700's" hahaha

You can use the guys name. Kernan. Lol.

ORD was probably never going to happen anyways. Just a carrot to trick potential new hires to come...

ORD is/was dependent on AAG transferring the remaining 700s to Envoy. I don't think that is going to happen at this rate.

That announcement could also be a management scare tactic.

Yeah, I'm not feeling so warm and fuzzy about the stability of PSA . It seems AAG can't /won't commit to making it grow which will take investing in the pilot group . Like they're waiting for some dirt cheap magical Unicorn RJ outfit that has loads of poverty stricken pilots to decend from heaven and save them by shifting flying over there.

Scare tactics only work if pilots have nowhere to go. FOs are already leaving for other regionals and both captains and FOs are leaving for LCCs and other airlines instead of waiting for some mythical flow. Trying to scare pilots will only increase the amount that jump off this sinking ship.

This kind of tactic only further displays how out of touch with the current environment PSA and AAG management are.

May wanna pull the jet streams out of the desert because if they keep this up they will be right back to being a 20 airplane airline in no time.

Once again:

There is no Growth
There is no Stability
There is no reason to come to PSA

Unmatched path to AA? Yes, Envoy and Piedmont are better

Let's not kid ourselves. Right from the start, about two years ago, it was agreed that there was no other reason to come here other than the quick upgrades. Many people capitalized on that and upgraded within a month or two of being a new hire or just entered directly into the left seat.

All along, the flow was never given any serious consideration.

This was a place to come for quick upgrade that's it. The train has stopped. You either got on at the right time or you didn't

Now if you didn't have the 1000 hours to upgrade, it was widely believed that just as soon as you did you would upgrade. For many fo's this did pan out too so not a bad deal for them either.

A very specific set of people who were hired in 2014 and 2015 made out very well and are reasonably happy.

But if you are looking to come here right now or are a recent new hire, there is nothing here for you. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can only see maybe a year into the future in this industry, you've got to make your decisions with that in mind. Personally its always worked for me. I'll have some news as well soon.
