Default New Guy

Hi all, first time on here. I have a class date in October. Can any of you fine folks tell me what I need to study before class. I can't seem to get a straight answer on it. The information I received says to study and know the highlighted sections. I know I'm not the brightest star in the sky, but, it seems that the whole thing is highlighted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is the first airline job I've ever had, so, I'm a bit anxious about it all. Thanks!

There isn't a whole lot to prepare for ahead of time. If you study limitations and immediate action items you will be ahead of the game. I'm pretty sure they still include that. What is your class date?

There's a spiral book floating around that has all the switches in the cockpit with explanations. Wouldn't be a bad study aid.

Welcome on board! My recommendations would be to just study your immediate action items and limitations. If you know those cold on day 1, you'll be ahead of the game.

Once you're in training they will tell what you need to know and when you need to know it. Remember, cooperate to graduate! Study with your classmates! Don't be a hermit and lock yourself in your room to study. Literally every single one of those guys are the ones who DID NOT make it through. Everyone who studied together and hung out together on the weekends made it through just fine. And as others have said, if you have any questions feel free to PM.

Study the limitations and immediate action items package they send you. if you have those solid you're well ahead of the game. First 7 days is the flight operations manual. If you show up ready to devote the next six weeks to learn the psa way you'll have a good time. The training dept. want you to succeed but you can lead horse to water.......

So I guess I need to poke my head out here now that we actually make real money and there's a referral bonus.

I'll gladly deal with any questions via PM or phone.

Referrals will get a share of my bonus and some help through training.
