Be careful about online solicitations for referral bonuses. I'm pretty sure envoy prohibits that so I'd imagine PSA is the same.

The person who made a referral bonus off of me when I got hired had never met me in person before I got hired, but has grown to be my closest friend here. When they asked me in my interview how I had met so and so, I told them the truth and they were like, "oh, ok."

The one referral bonus I've gotten thus far was from someone who I had never met before he got hired.

They really don't care. Someone in management once commented that the highest number of referrals one person had earned is 7, mostly from online.

Hey man, you can do whatever you want and I don't know how your referral agreement reads. Ours specifically states that they will not be accepted; "Referrals must be generated through personal contact with a potential applicant. Contacts made through mass emailing or internet/telephone solicitation will not be accepted."

Personally, I enjoy my job and the career path I'm on so I'm not going to do something stupid like that.

I just went and reviewed our company policy. We have no such prohibition.

Come on man don't be a drama queen. All regional airlines are begging for pilots! You really think they would fire one pilot for giving out pilot referrals like candy?

The entire purpose of the referral program is to encourage current employees to recruit pilots.

Three things for applicant to remember:

- The referral or lack of referral will have zero impact on a pilot applicant getting hired at any regional airline in today's pilot shortage.

- Regional airlines can not afford NOT to hire a pilot who has the bare minimum qualifications.

- show up wear a suit and tie, have log books tallied up, and you will get hired

You sound like a blast to fly with too! Sorry for being meticulous about written rules, following them, and advising others of those rules. As your co-worker said, your referral program isn't written as ours is.

Do you just pick and choose which rules you like to abide by based on your own convenience? If so, you're in the wrong profession...SON!
