But I would assume a year for a round 2 (build up) line.

We did expect to be at the bottom of the list and to be on reserve. We accepted that. However we were mislead. The company was selling all this talk about growth and how even on reserve DECs would still be flying. I was even told I would hold CLT as a captain within 6 months.
Is it my fault for believing the hype? Yes absolutely. So now I am correcting my mistake by leaving.
However it is also the companies fault for misleading people when all they really wanted was as many captains as they could get on property before the flow snapshot was taken.

Rumor has it that PSA has received quite a few lateral transfer applications already. Mesa and AWAC seem to be leading the charge as far as FO's applying to PSA. Mesa FO's coming to PSA would make sense, since they used to have a CLT crew base and many pilots still live in the area. Especially now that the pay at PSA is double that at Mesa.

The company screwed up by hiring DECs last year when in all honesty, you guys weren't really needed. And if the company had kept growing at the pace it was when you were hired, you very well should have been able to hold CLT quickly as a CA. With our new pay incentives and new found ability to hire, I think it likely our growth is not finished and you holding CLT would of been possible very shortly. Nonetheless, I wish you the best wherever you're off to next. Keep the blue side up buddy!
I hope for the sake of everyone staying that PSA is able to get their momentum going again. I've flown with some great pilots at PSA and that has definitely been the best part of a bad situation.
Best of luck to all!
