Where did you hear that? I'm pretty sure they are free.

They are on the internet somewhere. I believe fittings will be held in CLT for the few months before May when ordering begins.

Straight from the CPs mouths during recurrent ground. They definitely will not be free. I believe the FAs get free uniforms, but the pilots don't have that in our contract.

Maybe this should be a topic of discussion in June? Replacement items, sure. I don't need to fund their fashion show.

Sounds about right, the company leads everyone to believe the uniforms are free and later takes it out of our paychecks without publishing any kind of memo for clarification. We do have uniform accounts, but that would make way too much sense to automatically deduct our new uniforms from our accounts.

This is a direct violation of the contract.....I doubt it.

3. The cost of procuring changed uniform items will be borne by the pilot and will be deducted from a pilot's uniform account balance to the extent he has sufficient credit.

4. The Company will normally allow at least one (1) year for pilots to comply with uniform changes. If the Company requires a uniform change to be completed in less than one (1) year and a pilot's uniform account balance is insufficient to purchase the changed uniform items, a pilot will be allowed to overdraw his uniform account in the amount necessary to purchase the required items.

No. We've had plenty of pilots hired at Delta and United.

Absolutely false. On average we are losing 5 pilots /month to "other" major airlines. One FO from my class has been hired at Delta. One at Jet Blue, one to Allegiant, one to Atlas, etc...
