SAP is the greatest thing that any regional has. The only people that disagree are the DECs or other captains that upgraded quickly and have never used it.

Are the 700/900 trips generally fewer legs per day compared to 200 trips?

Are you saying I could be assigned CVG as a base but be able to bid on trips out of DAY or are you saying I can flop back and forth between bases until I figure out which one I like ?

Also, since it was brought up - is there any limitations to the amount of times you can change bases ? I think there was at OO.

Trust me, not everyone in that group disagrees. The new DAY/CVG LEC CA rep is a DEC and he understands the value of SAP.

You are very misinformed.

Given an average of the last several months attrition, broken down by seniority, and assuming we make it to 8 a month in a reasonable amount of time, a new hire is going to flow in about 7-7.5 years.

Those are my numbers, not the company's. Catch me in the E-Con with my laptop and I'll break it down for you.

That's not to say we don't want to see an increase, and you're statement above isn't wrong, but it also needs context.

You can't argue against the fact that the SAP is inefficient from a management perspective and great from pilot QOL. AA pilots now have PBS instead of their old line bidding SAP system and AA management has stated it will lower costs big time. AA has been pushing for PBS at Envoy for years and will get it with their 41st E175 delivery.

PSA's union has told the pilots they are creating a special committee to look into PBS. A recently passed LOA includes language stating the union agrees to sit down with the company and discuss possible restrictions on the SAP. With all the said, it's my opinion, the union might not be completely holding the line with our SAP.

I'm simply using facts to formulate an opinion. You can disagree with my opinion all day, but you can't argue against the facts.

All those hardly mean that "SAPs days are numbered". Like I mentioned before the pilots are the ones who control whether we have it or not. I dont know a single one that would vote it away.
