The Sims for the CTP were at a building right by the airport... If they're doing ground school there (CVG) now too I don't know where that's going on.

With that said, this next class should be 30, or a little more. It all depends on if there are any last minute cancellations.
The ATP-CTP classes have been full for a few weeks now.

You'll be at the Doubletree CLT Airport. Nice hotel, crew rate menu at the restaurant, cheap breakfast, and the on site gym is above standard in most hotels. 24/7 shuttle service.

I didn't hear one reputable person say that all of our classes are full. I have heard that we are being more selective, and we are not going to put people in class that we don't think will finish.

I still think the mitigating factor for these first few classes after the new year was the folks having to complete the CTP course. For all those who chose to forego a class date until after the holidays AND needed to complete the CTP, it simply pushed the numbers back a couple weeks... which is probably why that first class only had 17, and now they're allegedly creeping up into the numbers we all want.

I did... Multiple instructors in DAY said as much.

The holidays played a huge role in the early January class having only 17. People were not interviewing at great rates between thanksgiving and Christmas, and those that did took the later January classes it seems.
Personally, I think we will have 32 on Monday. I heard it is 34, but there always a couple that postpone for some reasons.
But we will see in 48 hours.
I hope we have a class every once in awhile of 16 or so. That will prevent backlogs in sims and IOE. If we continue classes of 30, then we will probably skip a class every few months.
The delay in training that we had a couple years ago, like what Piedmont is experiencing now, is detrimental to the new hires. I wouldn't go somewhere that it takes 5+ months to complete training. That is more time making only min guarantee and costs thousands of dollars.
We have zero delay right now, and I hope it stays that way.
Responsible growth. That is what we need.

As far as training failures, the percentage is pretty low, but variable. If you show up for an oral and don't know the memory items or limitations, you fail. Period. That is stuff you start on day 1.
If you can't fly an airplane in the sim and don't belong in the cockpit, you fail.
But, if you put forth effort and try, you will pass. I don't know of anyone that has failed and did not deserve it.
The training department would absolutely love a 100% pass rate if it is deserved. Sadly, it isn't.
