Yes. Came down from AAG management. Sign on bonus only after the checkride is passed. Will be the same for all AA WO carriers.

Yes, verbiage changed to "later of" all the background, drivers, criminal history checks OR Initial Proficiency Checkride.

After checkride (5 weeks of ground school and 2 weeks of sims- so about 7 weeks) instead of after 3-4 weeks.

Too many people starting ground school and jumping ship before sims for all 3 carriers combined.

Totally makes sense. Saves AAG time and effort to pay that out and try to recoup it.

Is the 24/7 per diem AND min guarantee pay ALL THE WAY through training? Including ground school, time to go to CLT, sims, time to go to CVG for differences and then check ride?

Is the final checkride after training the proficiency check or do you get your ATP with CRJ PIC type rating also(assuming you did the CTP here)?

Understandable, but too bad we are told otherwise then changed. Especially when trying to figure out how to pay bills between jobs . . .

Just hope now that they are getting lots of new pilots (once we have quit our previous jobs) they don't pull the bonus all together. Guess we don't have it in writing and I don't see it on the offer letter either.

Once you signed that piece of paper, that is the minimum pay. There will be no "retracting" that bonus. I would actually expect the compensation to increase again.

The pay stated above is correct, and you are paid 24/7 per diem anytime that you are in training. If the company sends you home for 2-3 days between ground school and sims, then it stops for those 2-3 days and starts again as soon as you get back to training.

You get 75 hours a month in addition.

Our training pay is REALLY GOOD!

On sim #9, you take your check ride. You get your CL65 PIC type that day. You also get your ATP MEL that day.

The ATP-CTP course just allows you to take the ATP written test.

Yes, the training looks like it is a fair deal. Much better than others I have heard about in the past.

The "next steps" document received at the interview says that all items will be completed on the first day of training. That includes background check, fingerprinting, drug screen, signing the commitment bonus and offer letter. Can anyone in a new hire class confirm this? It also says that you will receive your bonus after all verifications are in, which could take up to 90 days.

Is this the piece of paper you are referring to? The conditional offer signed at the interview only listed the rate of pay of $38.50. Just wanting to make sure I got all the correct forms and letters. I had originally indicated "pool" but then got a firm date via email as soon as I got home. Thanks.

Fingerprinting, photos, background info will be submitted on the first day of training. You will typically pass your checkride well within 90 days from that point.

You have the correct documents. You signed it, you will be paid the bonus. They are not going to rescind the bonus.

We are trying very hard to hire pilots, and we need at least 500 more than we have now. We are not going to cut that pay.
