I always loved it. Couldn't have been happier. Location was more important then quality.

That's the best we can do in our home town??? It's sad, one of the worst hotels in the system. Like I said much better location but the hotel and the road noise are ridiculous. On that same street there are way better options where you would keep the location benefits and seriously upgrade on quality.

I don't think any other hotels there have a van. At least that was the case when I was there.

Default Commute PSA VS home crew base

SAP sounds amazing in the QOL equation.

So.... would you choose a regional that has worse scheduling but is based in your home city OR commute to a PSA base because of the SAP?

(Side note: uncle lives in Charlotte about 5 minutes from the airport... no need for a crash pad)

If the other regional is somewhat decent Id live in base. Nothing beats driving to and from work.

The Fairfield is great, "LJ" at the front desk is more than willing to come to your room and tell you all about her cats.

It's not that easy to find a hotel that will take in mass amounts of people at a reduced rate. Not every hotel wants airline business and having to deal with transporting all these people back and forth constantly. Would be nice if the Drury was the hotel new hires stayed out! Free Breakfast and managers reception in the evening, along with nice rooms.

Pretty much this. That said, if the other regional has an uncertain future, choose wisely.

I live in the DFW area.... Envoy or Mesa. One leg commute to just about anywhere.

Mesa I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

While Envoy has their issues, they'll be around for a while. Yes, you'd have some amount of time on reserve in DFW, but reserve from your living room is pretty cake.

But you're also correct in saying you're a one leg commute from anywhere. You could easily get DAY or CVG at PSA and be in round 1 pretty quickly, then pick your schedule with the SAP.

It's still a commute though, and it will still cost you time away from home.

As I said, choose wisely.

And, if you need a referral at PSA or have any other questions, just let me know.
