But again, what do I know.
Have you thought about the possibility that if we hadn't just been given more flying, that more furloughs were coming? Why else would they have started a 55 Point/EO program? There are many factors involved, not just how this dysfunctional company utilizes it's crews. The only reason the reserves are all being used over 70 hours is because the line values for line holders is so low. Paying a reservist(lower seniority pay) vs paying a more senior lineholder is much cheaper for them.

BUT, if they tag you within the 6 hours with something, the report can be as late as :59 minutes after your scheduled "end of ready".

ex on ready from 1-7 - you can have a show at 7:59 so long as you're notified between 1-7

Am i right on that?.......it's been a while
That's it. If you sit ready 1-7 they can tag you at 6:59 with a departure before 8:00, in other words within 60 minutes of the end of your ready.

I always ask the other pilot what the real departure time is on his DSL, since I've heard scheduling has modified times to keep you within 60 minutes while the rest of the crew was supposed to depart ten minutes later.

Did you honestly think they would raise the min line value for line holders to keep the same reserve/lineholder ratio after furloughing MORE people? Or that they would miraculously start utilizing crews better after furloughing more people just to be able to get by with less on the payroll? Would it be the smart thing? Of course. Would it ever happen? No.

And lets not think pilots are the reason they started the early retirement program. There are alot of senior ground handling/flight attendants/management/office staff as well, and as a bone to the pilot group, included them. Sometimes as pilots we think we drive every decision for the whole company and forget we are just members of the "team" (Congrats to the entire team!)

Thanks.
What other reasons do you need?

Short, direct, and to the point. Good one. I appreciate that. They are hiring FOs with immediate upgrade to the 1900 with ATP mims and 300 in aircraft. Still wondering if I should do it.

Btw H46Bubba thanks for trying. PM me torromow.

They had me down as collecting wages in both FL and NY for the same amount. Im a FL resident not NY. So NY was trying to get me to pay a thousand dollars in state taxes.

The upgrade would be tempting. PIC time is PIC time, no? I had a buddy that worked there for a little under a year. The pay was terrible, the overnights were in "towns" you've never heard of, but the snow-skiing was great. Hand-flying non-precision approaches into high elevation airports would also be a good experience. Hope this helps and good luck.

Can someone please answer this. If you have an increase of 10-12% flying, 298 on furlough, how can u not recall with current staffing levels?

If A+B=C and C=A whatever, I need a beer.

Chances of a BOS base?
