Yes, PSA just started hiring Street Captains.

Probably same reason we have Appleton plates. Maybe a new approved diversion airport for flights going to hot springs? That's my guess

I'm a mil with an interview at AWAC at the end of the month. I've seen some gouge, courtesy of CairBear, that talks about briefing up a Jeppesen approach in the interview. Ive not had any experience with Jeppesen plates. But, they appear to be very similar to the gov't flip to which I am very accustomed. Still, I'd like to know if anyone has an idea of a few plates that might pop up in the interview I could familiarize myself with before the interview.

If you google "how to read jeppesen plates," there are several good sites, along with a video from the kings. I was worried about it too, but they really are easier to read once you get used to them.

LDA at DCA is popular. The rest are basic. Also know that a full approach must be done if non-radar environment..

You have to read a jepp low enough chart but they let you pick between faa and jepp for plates. Look over LDA into DCA. ILS 16 into Asheville and ILS 23 into Charlotte. Those are what I saw in mine. Also brush up on your metar remarks section.

Thank you, bababouey! I found what you are referring too. It does help.

Cheers!

mrjiggs,
What kind of time do you have and are you retiring or separating? I'm about to apply to due to retirement.

flyinhawyan,
Just over 2600 hrs total w/ 2300+ in the B-52. I am retiring in Dec. But, I go terminal in August. I chose AWAC because I've heard good things about the company and the people...even from guys flying other regionals and the majors. Also, I am moving to Alexandria, VA when I go terminal. Our rental is 3 metro stops from DCA.

Best of luck to you!
