I was between the same two. Ended up choosing RAH and I've been happy with my choice. For me it came down to bases and pay. Everyone always says to pick a regional you could be stuck at. While I wholeheartedly hope and plan to move on from here, nothing is guaranteed in this world or this industry. I have ZERO desire to live anywhere near 9E's bases and looking at the top pay at the two ($33/hr difference) should I get stuck at one of the two, I'd rather be stuck with the RAH pay scale.
I enjoy having travel benefits on AA and UAL, and I look forward to having all three. Hiring has been steady and looks to continue now that BK exit is in sight and deals are signed with all 3 codeshare partners. I truly appreciate the iPad and not having to carry pubs around. The CrewLife app is a great addition and makes finding all your trip info a breeze. Hotels have been good, training was good, all around a good experience. Don't get me wrong, there are things that could use improvement and it's still a regional. Take all this for what it's worth, I'm no more to you than a screen name and some words, and I get that. All I can offer (amidst the anger and toxicity often present at APC) is the perspective of a guy who is on property and relatively new.
You need to make the choice for yourself and seriously factor in QOL. There seems to be good movement at Endeavor and that bonus would be nice to have, but in the end it wasn't the better choice for me. It's been said a thousand times, but I'll say it again: commuting to reserve is a special kind of hell that should be avoided if at all possible!

On point- wholeheartedly agree with the above statement.

Expect your IDs at the end of systems class. During sims you will have days off every 5 days, still TBD depending on the availability.

Just trying to figure out all the little nitpicky things in each contract at this point. They seem to have very similar commuting policies, but Endeavor definitely has the leg up with the 2 hour grace period during your reserve callout.
Thanks again.

First off, thank you very much for your detailed and honest response. I think the fact that we all have choices and that these decisions are challenging is a good step in the right direction for the industry. I definitely understand and respect that these companies are, at the end of the day, still regional airlines. I think either choice will be a good one, and will definitely be a step up from what I am doing now. I am lucky in that both airlines have a very junior base where I actually want to be based. I'll be commuting from KJAX, which has several flights a day. If I happen to get stuck on a 3 or 4 day stint of reserve, I've got plenty of friends in the NY area, and a living space of my own to spend a night.

I didn't mean the call out. Endeavor has a standard 2 hour call out for reserve. But to my knowledge, let's say your reserve period starts at 10:00. If you have a commutable flight landing at 12:15, you are still protected. 2 hour grace period during your reserve callout as long as you notify them.

RAH has the same thing.
