Most junior FO in IND is a 11/03/15 hire. Looking at the latest monthly bid award (effective date of July 1st), the most junior FO awarded IND is a 2/2/16 hire. So I would not call it senior for FOs.
We are short staffed. Plan to fly everyday that you are on reserve (RSV). We do not have guys sitting around on RSV. You will likely credit over guarantee, but because of the outstation basing model we have, a significant portion of your schedule will be deadheading on RSV.
New hires are offered all the vacancies not filled by current pilots during our monthly vacancy bidding process. Bases are assigned in seniority order to new hires. Your seniority within your class is determined by age.
As for PIT, PIT is SUPER junior for FOs. You should 100% expect PIT as a new hire.

Seems like no matter what seniority will be based off of (age, last name, social) I will always be at the bottom of my class lol.

I have followed the BK since day one and because I use common sense and realize it's not the typical BK of the past, it doesn't scare me. There has not been a single thing that has happened so far that has not followed exactly what management said they wanted to get out of this BK. Everyone said Delta was gone yet here they are with the newer higher fligt rates and having provided a substantial loan and they are the smallest feed Republic provides.

Not saying you are wrong, but I have heard that the AA 170 flying is going away, someone told me there was an Email saying April 25th they'd lose 61 Lines of flying for AA. No idea if it's true, but thought I'd see what else people have heard. (I also have no idea how much percentagewise of flying those lines represent) Also, not that I think it will be an issue, but a judge and the creditors have to agree to Delta stepping in with the DIP loan.....Delta is not currently on that board of creditors.
I feel bad for those people who bought a F class ticket on a 175 to SLC who now have to do that flight in a 145.

A lot of Republic flying has dumped back into the Envoy Open time this month out of ORD and MIA. I have been doing almost all MIA flying at Envoy lately the over the last month that has been put back on us unscheduled into our open time. MIA, EYW, JAX, TLH, GNV, Bahamas etc. etc. Out of ORD there is MSY, DEN, SLC, IAH and probably some more I haven't noticed.
Good Luck!

In regards to the April 25th date mentioned above, this is from a company CH 11 update email yesterday:
"...In that effort we are preparing to reject up to 23 leased EJET aircraft prior to the April 25 deadline and our market planning and operations teams have been working with codeshare partners, and specifically American, to mitigate the near-term effect of this change. It's important to remember that the majority of these aircraft are currently idle and not producing any revenue for us."

Total block hours for Republic and Shuttle are down 1,122 hours for May. So not much change. Block hours have continuously decreased (with few exceptions) over the last 18 months. Most of the 170s I have seen are still flying in DCA and LGA, so I think that those will be parked next month because they have 0 hours of block scheduled, and they will be bringing out the parked 175s that are sitting at various airports (CMH, IND, PIT, etc.).

Holy cow, you guys and your rumors.
No, we are not losing all of our AA flying.
Yes, it seems a small amount of AA flying may be leaving (the email is not clear as to what is exactly happening there). Yes, we have 170/175s sitting idle costing money and not generating revenue that we are getting rid of. However, this is exactly what the company said we would do. Downsize the fleet to the right number of jets for the pilots we have, become stable, then grow from there.
Here is EXACTLY what the email said about it:
"On the codeshare front, we met with both United and American and remain engaged in negotiations to formalize our flying amendments with both of these partners. As discussed in prior updates, we are required to take a conservative approach to fleet management until we finalize agreements with each of our flying and aircraft partners. In that effort we are preparing to at reject up to 23 leased EJET aircraft prior to the April 25 (S1110) deadline and our market planning and operations teams have been working with codeshare partners, and specifically American, to mitigate the near-term effect of this change. It’s important to remember that the majority of these aircraft are currently idle and not producing any revenue for us"
Now, time for me to start a rumor of my own.
I predict that Republic will come to agreements with United and American (similar to Delta) and exit BK within 12 months with an all EJET fleet on 1 operating certificate still flying for the "big three".....retaining the best contract in the (regional) industry.
