I read the post and re-read it, and I can't seem to find any threats. Someone said, 'I'm a regular line FO from DEN'. The response, 'Then why do you live in a 4 million dollar house in Aspen? Most regular FO's aren't complaining about their wine bottles not fitting properly in the newly constructed wine cellar.' As far as personal info being posted, it was the FAA that posted his address and the FO self-posted his name. The two were simply connected via the Landings database. Anyone on planet earth could do the exact same thing and get the exact same results. He didn't post it on APC. It was on a closed forum and everyone who had access to the forum could have found the same info in about 2 minutes. I think the 'regular line FO' just got a little butt-hurt over someone calling him on his BS. He just can't distinguish between threatened and embarrassed. As far as the alleged death threats, I call bull on that. And if there have been some, they should be criminally prosecuted. Shouldn't be hard to do since there's an electronic footprint on everything we do......but there weren't any threats.
SkyWest has a L O N G history of circulating letters like this during pay talks or union drives. One pilot was issued a warning for TOS violations for simply mentioning one of the letters circulated during a union drive. What it all boils down to, the SAPA forums have become an effective tool for those who choose to refrain from Kool-aid consumption, and so they needed to go.
