Quote: Oh here we go with the wisecracks, I think it's pathetic that some of you have the gall to act out and externalize this macho persona here on the forum, meanwhile you wont even greet your peers that pass you in the hallway due to social awkwardness. My gripe isnt based off of entitlement, it fits the narrative of this topic. If you dont like it, so what?

Also, I know Im new at the company so I may have mispoke about the "mock". But I just checked the pilot bid pack and the PBS mock snapshot came out at 1000CT today June 12th?
Let me just say, and attempt to distance myself from this fella. I too, am a new hire...couldn't be happier here to date. This type of entitled whiney crap is exactly what we don't want/need here.

4 months reserve? Have you actually talked to anyone who was here pre-merger? How about 4+ years on reserve with a displacement or two sprinkled in? And you're disgruntled? Welcome to life, pal. Things aren't perfect here and they aren't anywhere. Captain Joe didn't wave to you in the terminal? I'm so sorry. 60k not enough for you to shut up and be happy? Try $18k a year. Let us know how that works.

I think this generation and beyond would do a lot better if they got their rears handed to them every once in a while. That or require 2 years of military service. But take your crap attitude back to that shady 135 operation until you've grown up.

But you do have an attitude.

You just need to replace the double t's in "attitude" with a couple of s's and you have him pegged!

Nice, lets get you that company man award. Tell me something, who exactly is "we" in your manifesto? Is it the cadre of white sock wearing, wrinkled and sweated-out-baggy pilot shirt donning, static charged hair sporting champions I see on the reg? Once again, my initial post isnt out of entitlement, it stems from false "truth in advertising". Anyone considering coming to 9E should be aware of the truth. And if it isnt to be considered truth, at least it can be considered an inside perspective.

Lets talk pre-merger....but then again lets not, because this isnt the same company as it was pre-merger. There was no bonus pre-merger, there was nothing of value to attract candidates like myself. So what point are you trying to make? Im lucky to be working in conditions that are more favorable than the days of operational uncertainty that predated Endeavor becoming a wholly owned subsidiary? $60K nt enough? Well I'll ask you that, is $60K enough for you? Or are you just happy that you have a full time flying job that keeps you current?
$18K is pathetic, but you and others gladly accepted that pay and the industry at that time while I and others stayed away and maintained more responsible work options.

Eye contact and acknowledgement is one of the most basic and simplest forms of respect that any man can choose to demonstrate. It is professional. It shows more than anythig else that you are capable of demonstrating concern. Im sorry if you cant fathom the logic of an age old teaching. Perhaps you hail from shamed samurai so I wont judge...... who knows.

As far as getting my 'rear-handled', cool. Let's reduce our trade to the stuff of rumble-ready 12 year olds in unsupervised parking lots and basketball courts. Military service? Ok, Let's work on getting guys to wear dress shoes with laces first (no offense to those that have to wear orthopedic velcros).

Shady 135? Immaturity? Bad attitude? Military service? How many baseless charges can be made in one sentence?

What did you honestly expect when you complained about 4 months of reserve on this board? The biggest complaint here is how 20 year people are still on reserve (mind you they are MSP captains). Did you think they would say "oh that's terrible, I'm sorry we can't find a line for you"?

What do you think is going to happen if you get an early upgrade to captain? Yeah, your going to be loving reserve life in NY for years.

Don't get me wrong, I get that reserve is terrible, but next time complain about the reserve- not the time your stuck on it. Or bid to a place that you can actually hold a line if your that upset.

Delta is a great company.

I don't know what should be said for the remaining 45% that didn't get on with delta.

For anyone looking for a major airline job........is a coin flip good enough?

Or would you pick the coin that has major on both sides......
If you're giving coin flip odds on a 65% success rate I placing bets. 65% is not a coin toss. The 45% who didn't go. They will it wear hats because "they can't make me," "not till we get a flow," "not till they give us Delta wages." They don't make gate announcements because they don't get paid enough, nope not standing at the door for cabin annoucments. Can you blame Delta for not giving us a flow. I wouldn't want to give a flow to a pilot group who won't even do small jestures asked of them to provide a better customer experiance. In the meantime I'll keeping what they ask, keep smiling, and enjoying what I do and I'll be a 65 percenter.

Your choice.

If I was going to a regional today and I could choose which one, I'd pick the flow.

If you're b!tching about reserve at 6 months, I'm going to love your attitude when you work your ass off and Delta randomly decides to not hire you.

And your math is fuzzy, we may have hit 65% at one point but we are not there anymore.

Lol

B!tching about reserve at 6 months and then turning around and saying people have bad attitudes because they don't wear a hat or make counter announcements!

Wait until he sees bankruptcy and merger and pay cuts of 40%.

Keep smilin and wearing that hat!
