Yeah, I'm a 2nd year FO on the ERJ. Should make about $65K this year. First year is rough, though.

You guy. Endeavor hasn’t even voted on it yet. And lets see what comes out of the October sapa meeting (going on right now).... give it time boys and girls... I like Skywest. That's why I work here. But I am not blissfully unaware of and unwilling to admit areas that can be improved. I'm glad to hear that seem to believe the pay is too low though. |

Im probably gonna be around 42k pre tax and thats with the 7500 dollar sign on bonus. How is my pay gonna jump by 20k In yr 2 just by holding a line and removing the bonus ? Are you working the system, picking up lots of open time ?
It's through picking up copious amounts of OT. Meanwhile, Endeavor and Piedmont/Envoy first officers are making $60k first year, and second to third year, six figures is possible. We are being shat upon. Why anyone would want to come here is beyond me. |

I almost bailed my first year for an AA wholly owned, something came up and I cancelled the classdate and remained here. I would not be surprised if we lost year-one FOs to other regionals.... And regional FOs debating money is like ho's debating relative virginity. It's all chicken feed, nobody with half a brain would give up more than a few months of progress towards upgrade for a few grand... If you're young, each month will be worth over $30k at the end of your career. |

Why? If they wanted to work somewhere else they could have had their choice. Most people at SKW are here for the domicile s. Its not like 15 years ago when you took the first job offer you got and felt damn lucky to be there.

Hi guys.
The domiciles map on the website is down and I was kinda wondering, as someone starting soon, how easy it would be to get Denver as a base on the CRJ and what airline benefits apply to there? Would we be talking a whole lot of months on reserve? If so I'd go somewhere with quicker reserve. Don't have any ties to anywhere, so can pretty much go where ever I am needed / wherever I want. I would however like to bring my wife over asap and I'd imagine that a reserve wage is comparably low to holding a line? Would be be able to afford a roof and netflix? I can see you all talking about the pay which is a bit of a downer. I'm starting in about 4 weeks. As someone transitioning from a C210 I felt like Skywest has the best training and the best visa support... To answer your question, yes, yes I am. |

I've been consistently getting 28-30 hour 4 day trips. That's how I make my $. I don't do anything fancy. |
I'm 2016 CRJ FO new hire.
First 12 calendar months got around $46K, that gross including profit sharing bonus and per diems. No new hire bonus for me, and that's all on old pay scale. And I wasn't flying that much, only very last month as a line holder, first 11 in training or on reserve. Block time 570 first 12 month. 2017 year to date $56K, most of the year on a second year pay. Again, I'd not say I was flying too much, block time so far around 700. Just work around the system as much as I can. The key in making money for me as a junior FO here were: 1. Be on a CRJ side, 2. Live in base 3. Be aggressive on picking up OT trips aka SchedPlus Open Time automated alerts 4. Know the PBS, try to work the system, for example displaced for IOE and flying with LCA are something that not too much FO utilized as much as they should IMO. 5. If you live in DEN (or LAX and SLC starting December 1) be Aspen qualified, it's open up whole bunch of trips especially during winter and summer high seasons, and significantly helps in negotiating with Crew Scheduling when you need to move/repace some awarded trips. |
