tesla has one. Its charged when you charge the car or during regenerative braking. They last as long as a normal car battery. You'll get a notification when it should be replaced and as long as your cars main battery has power the car battery will be charged.
really nothing to worry about

They had it speed limited to 85 so that was a buzzkill but the wife told me I was nuts for mashing the "gas" on the onramp. Wasn't a fan of the hard braking when you let off the accelerator but saw a setting in there to make it "normal" and that made it drive better I thought. Suspension didn't seem too stiff, but I drive a 1/2 ton truck and a Jeep so I'm not real picky. I'm used to the camera display on the rear view mirror on my truck and the back window was pretty tiny so I missed that and I like the HUD on the truck as well. The FSD is a trip....
Man, that’s awesome! Glad you had a good time! The regenerative braking has actually become one of my favorite parts of driving a Tesla! A few iterations on the screen and it becomes very natural. There’s enough settings to personalize it a bit but not too many to give a complexity headache. I experienced Tesla after the recent refreshes. I understand road noise, suspension improvements, and interior quality were addressed so I’ve never had a complaint in those areas. My wife and I believe the Tesla is quieter and smoother than her Lexus RX350.

Def quieter than my wrangler. 😂

All I know is the presentation and tour was fantastic. You guys/gals should be proud of that place.

I feel like I did a great job in the interview but you never know.

if I ever debase myself into working on the hiring team, I’m going to make all my hiring recs based on the applicants response to the question “is the Miata a sports car?”

Weird?! Excuse, I prefer the term distinguished from the masses. Thank very much.

Considering the extremely high quality of the people SWA HR is passing over for "better qualified" applicants with under 3k hours, that might actually be a more relevant consideration than whatever it is they're using right now. Nothing against the folks with under 3k hrs, but to call them "better qualified" than a guy who flew heavy aircraft into combat zones for 20 yrs with command and evaluation experience is simply unbelievable. The difference in breadth and depth of experience between those 2 kinds of applicants is night and day, but there seems to be more and more reports of those 3k pilots getting interviews while the pilots with 100x the real world experience and proven safety records are told they didn't even make the cut to get an interview.

With that immense discrepancy between what they're saying and what's actually happening, you may as well base your decision on the miata issue. Or the color their house is painted. Or shoe size. Because it sure as hell isn't flying experience and qualifications.

Have you asked a member of the hiring team? I once asked about a buddy who had all the boxes checked and they said he didn't interview well. I assume they saw something I didn't.

I currently have a friend with tons of time, heavy intl experience, all the leadership stuff....TBNT email. Either he isn't telling me something or they are purposefully bypassing him. Guessing it is the former.

I think they do a good job hiring. The last wave got sketchy, especially towards the end, but that had more to do with the supply than the actual hiring. Hiring all old military guys (myself included) for a lot of years didn't do this company any favors. It's good to have a mix of backgrounds and experience levels.

Agreed. I easily give the company the benefit of the doubt on this topic. I think they have a pretty good history. I’m certainly not joining a group of anonymous posters, that I know nothing about, railing against the company for not hiring them. Strange enough, they all think they did great in the interview. When I returned from my interview, a peer asked what I thought. I said “it went well but I don’t think I got the job. It’s competitive and I didn’t come across as a super hero.” He was glad to hear me say that. He shared with me that he had 2 employees interview at SWA and had very different responses to the same question. They thought they aced it and were as good as hired. Both received a TBNT. Sure enough, I got a job offer and we both laughed about the situation. Do I think good guys fall through the cracks and a couple bad guys get in? yep. But overall, I trust the recipe. I work with an overwhelming amount of good dudes.

You ever thought that maybe people that think they are great leaders are not always good leaders?
