Jet blue wants us now

Lol, they probably do mean it, and unfortunately I don’t see how we don’t end up with Jb, but yanno. Would they say at this point they intend to sweeten the deal? .

If they intent to sweeten, they have 2 days.
But hey in 3 days we'll see how it shakes out

when Robin was asked that question, he didnt say no but he didnt say yes (pretty much gave a politician answer). That way they can't hold him to his word one way or another and still can give an offer if he wants. That's what I would expect from someone who really don't wanna show their hand. Not a full blown nah.

So it's ok for 1 person to point to spirits best growth time but disingenuous when someone from JetBlue does it? And NK gets brownie point cuz they didnt know who they are?
This was the point they were trying to make. He/she can't look at spirit's best growth time and point to that to justify something being unfair. But if he wants to, so can we.

The point is until Indigo and Baldanza changed the company to a ULCC in the mid 2000’s, massive growth was never the focus. It’s like comparing McDonalds before Ray Croc to what it became after he changed the direction, it was happy to be a single store family run operation.
It’s not just about comparing a good growth period to a bad one, it’s a totally different company.

And now ULCC model is running out of routes that support daily service, as in part evidenced by F9 and NK having so much route overlap. If there are so many routes that support ULCC service, why not stay out of each other's way instead of doubling over each other's route network? And... This isn't 2016 anymore, having the lowest paid pilots won't guarantee people show up and STAY anymore... The ULCC model is not the unstoppable force you believe it is. And Spirit isn't the small airline it was either. To double or triple again in size will be measured in decades, not years now.

NK and F9 overlap on 40% of their routes as of Feb 7, 2022. Is 40% your 'so much route overlap'?

yes I have actually been surprised on how aggressive they have been. However you never know it’s not over till it is. If we do end up together you and I will definitely be all for QOL stuff. I want to work as little as I can.

You had a growth peak during your short time at NK. You could not get hired today and reach 20% within 9 years. JB had a growth peak several years before NKs, and during that time they moved up faster than the guys sitting at the top of your list. Both NK and JB are growing similar in real terms now, not some fantasy order book math you can't actually staff. It's not the arbitrators job to determine which few years in an airlines history were peak growth years and tailor a list for what benefits Symbian to the maximum extent possible and to the detriment of anyone and everyone else.
And I consider Payne to be a friend, so I won't cower in a corner while you try and ambush him with "Symbian logic

also, you forgot the closing quotation mark

Does Spirit flying anything smaller than an Airbus 319? If not, then it won’t go relative seniority since the fleets aren’t relatively the same. A220 and E190 are lower status/category planes. So it looks like you have 4 groups for your S&C groupings.
A-319/320/321 CA
A-220 E-190 CA
A-319/320/321 FO
A-220 E-190 FO
This will be a big driver how they integrate the seniority lists per ALPA merger policy.
And before you talk about pay rates, we tried that when we merged with United and it didn’t work.
