I thought the last pilot that still referred to the "school house" retired in the late 90's.

By all means, stick with school house, it's rustic and injects a bit of nostalgia. I still have fond memories of standing on the ramp in the "smoking section" listening to the old crusty guys spin yarns about their school house shenanigans. I guess "training department" would be more contemporary.

Is this an acceptable offer?
-JB at DOS plus whatever Ind Avg % .
-Up to 12% DC (no much more than what we have now)
-Retro pay (cheap SI bonus)
-Retain all rules.
-Improvements on LTD maybe STD as well.

Personally, I'm a NO.

This is just a talking from rumors. Nothing official.

Gotta be higher than JB, we'll be bottom of the rates again if that's all we're getting.
At least 15% DC
Improved LTD
Retain all work rules
75 hr min for line holders, 72 for reserve
Pay rates top out at 12 years
Higher percentage of A321 flying, my god they're putting 228 seats on them
Int'l pay anytime clear customs
Better rigs
Contract length no greater than five years
I'm sure there's some others, can't remember what I put on the survey. These aren't meant as a memo to management, im definitely not on the NC, nor would I ever have the temperament, attitude or skill for it, but this place needs to start acting like a career airline and not a transition airline.
