GREAT!!! That makes one, and hopefully there are more. I am serisouly glad to hear that. Not posting too much info here but that makes me happy to hear. But thus far what I have seen is that is not the norm.

Personally I have had very nice schedules from a relief line award. Remember if you get some reserve days, even if it is the whole month, you can trade with open time.

As for the trading with open time, not had a chance to try it but FLL open time is pretty abysmal this month.
Secondly, I never said I believe the rumors out there. I was more stating a fact so that Sniper wasn't being labeled as flaming. I quite enjoy his posts when he does. It has been said and I have heard it more than once. My opinion... Highly unlikely.

If you are pointing to the automated trip trade, it is my opinion that the company doesn't want to lose control of that yet. Arbitration pending, whenever we will finally get a word on that. Last time I picked up a phone and asked, the "fact" I was told was tomorrow. That was a month ago. Not in their control I understand, but a "I have no idea." would have been more appropriate.

If that is what you took from it, sorry. Second and third sentence seemed to imply my feeling on it. Maybe I should have said "I IN NO WAY BELIEVE THAT THE MEC HAS DONE ANYTHING WRONG!!" But I didn't feel the need and typically don't like to speak in absolutes.

As for Spirits automated trip trade, it will NEVER happen. There are a couple of reasons for this. The most important reason I think is that it no longer allows them control over the schedules and most importantly the relief line holders.
The large amount of relief lines are allowing management to circumvent the possible arbitration decision and keep reserve coverage. As far as I can tell 80%+ of the relief lines consisted of 1 trip at the transition and the rest of the line was 100% reserve. Then at least 5 pilots I have spoken to holding said lines say that EVERY single reserve drop and open time pick up have been denied and they are sitting will all reserve on the line. Just my .02.

On #1 I think you may be right. They don't like to give up control, even when it would save them money, or be more efficient.
On #2, it doesn't seem that way in DTW, at least the people I have talked to. But FLL is "home base" and they may be trying something with in conjunction with the new reserve times.

Where did you hear our MEC was corrupt? Looks like this is one nasty accusation. This MEC might have not done awesome on our contract but they did call a strike basically over nothing else but FO pay.
Again what is your motivation in this thread? Are you are trying to spread rumors?
