OK, let's see. What would constitute 'burying the ax'?
1. Don't run for office.
2. Don't question the MEC
3. Don't expect accountability
4. Don't ask about trip drops
5. Don't use message boards to discuss your politics
6. Don't try to volunteer for any positions
7. Don't apply to be an instructor.
Is that what you had in mind?

Mark my words, several years from now, no one will be able to agree which side of this mess caused us more damage in our battle to reach parity with our peers. Two things will be for sure, it will have cost us all hundreds of thousands of dollars over the life of our careers due to delayed and lowered achievements, and Miramar will laugh at how little they had to do to make that happen.

I guess that is a no...
However, I don't buy the list. You guys have been working against, and doing your best to undermine the SPA ALPA leadership ever since your guys HL/RG lost the FLL LEC election. What year was that?
Can you blame the SPA ALPA leadership and the pilot group as a whole for being a little suspicious of your intentions?
We know you guys have talents, and can contribute. But you can't go in with the "my way or the highway" mentality.

1. Putting management on the pilot seniority list ahead of all current pilots hired after August 2006. What did we get in return? We didn't have to pay taxes if we non rev'd to a foreign country? Sweet
2. ALPA trip dropping your entire schedule and then since you are also part of the training dept, picking up international IOE trips and getting JA'd for it?
3. 26 JAs in a year because you take a certain scheduler, who has since been fired, in your personal airplane on her vacation in the Keys?
Do I agree with everything that our current Spa ALPA does? No. But, believe it or not it's gotten better. I hear the 26%ers gripes and I agree but, a lot of your mouthpieces are frauds.

Thank-you for bringing up suspicion.

Cool! Had no idea you ever checked message boards; now that you're here, what a great opportunity to set the record straight. SPA MEC, except for the FLL reps and our jumpseat chair, have for years chosen to completely ignore the existence of spiritpilotboard.net. Instead of recognizing it for what it was (a non-public forum for airing our dirty laundry, a good place to bounce viewpoints off of each other, a good source of info about various new hire concerns), our MEC saw it as a cancer and breeding ground for opposing views (ie 26%ers). Suddenly, after years of defiant denial, ALPA moves to shut it down without any mention or explanation, leaving the pilots that visited the board guessing and in further disconnect with the same union we pay to support. If you have any more information on the how and why, the pilot group would love to hear it.
I've got no beef with you personally; I enjoyed flying with you years ago and your sense of humor is second to none. I apologize if this comes across as a personal attack. It's not. But to most line pilots, you ARE a big presence at ALPA National and will always be tied in with what goes on in that arena as long as you participate in it. As well, you've always chosen spoken word over print- maybe you've got a good reason for it- but it often comes across as secretive and withholding; the entire MEC is that way and it leaves a bad taste in the pilot group's collective mouth.
If there's a good explanation, we'd love to hear it.

In light of what happened recently we the 'other' board, we created nkpilots.com. This board is for spirit pilots only. There is no affiliation with the company nor ALPA. The normal registration process has been disabled and you must use your spirit email address to register. The instructions are posted on the main page. This is not an anonymous board.

We can't agree on all issues, this group is to big, to diverse for that. But going forward we need unity as our negotiators face off with management. Grudges held over from 2010 will only make the above prediction come true. Put the past in the past. Let's let our negotiating team know what we expect in 2015 through email, phone calls, Wilson poling, etc.
