How are December DFW lines 55 and 60 remotely in the spirit of FAR117? Five redeyes in a row, and yes I see that day 3 is a deadhead. The point of the reg is to get rest. There is no getting rest on our planes.
I can easily avoid them but that is still some serious garbage.

DFW LINES 55 and 60 aren't legal, Part 117.27 states 2 hour break for EACH of the consecutive night time flight duty periods. Meaning each night you need a 2 hour sleep opportunity every night. The lines are totally illegal

I agree. The deadhead doesn't change anything. 3 in a row is the max that can be done.

Anyone know of decent FLL crash pads with availability? The only ones I've found have been over 500 bucks. I don't need a palace, just a bed. Thanks!

Ask around in the crew room about Flossi's. You don't need a car and it's about $200/month. Pad management has changed since I was there so I don't know who is running the place so I can't give you contact info. Sorry!
