From a legacy carrier standpoint, low fuel prices allow the legacy carriers to temporarily drop ticket prices to Spirit levels while reducing the hit they take on those drops. This can force a slight drop in demand for Spirit's tickets, but more importantly causes analysts to see or forecast a slight dip in Spirit's business. Updated guidance from Spirit, which my guess is they're taking a page from Apple's book, is putting a slight damper on Spirit's stock. My guess is this dip is very much welcomed.

Some analysts worry that cheap fuel may cause the airline industry to begin another cycle of over-expansion, which will eventually bite us. Management claims that they have learned their lesson and won't make that mistake again.

I also think JB following us everywhere is cute, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Imagine if they start charging for carry-ons........wait a second, lol
It may be worth mentioning that I've noticed folks from the very same airline(legacy, lcc & regional) don't even do the 'nod/hi' in the terminal and in some cases go out of their way to avoid "contact" lol. Although we all share the same "union" via job description, socially we're quite a bit different it seems IMO.

I fly for Spirit, and I was in the F terminal in PHL a couple of weeks ago. No fewer than 4 Air Wisconsin pilots walked by me without making eye contact while I tried to say hi. Maybe because I didn't have a hat on???

That being said, the guys that let me sit up front from GSO to PHL were probably the nicest guys I have ever met. So it's the same everywhere, good guys and bad at every airline...

I have noticed in general a pretty good response from other pilots.
Never an issue, but I am sure at our place there are a few that wouldn't even say hello to another Spirit crew walking by.

Default Jumpseat help

Trying to book jumpseat. The web version will not let me go past date of hire ("please enter a valid date...) It's not checking anything since it won't let me past that entry. I called three phone numbers and was routed all over the company except to someone that can list me. Going to be bugging out of MCO with an hour to spare Christmas Eve so trying to save time by avoiding the ticket counter. Help!

Not sure about your login issue, but you can only list for a Jumpseat some 72 hours in advance.

So you got plenty of time to figure it out...
