Default Next Local Council Meeting

Can we get a list going with each council’s next scheduled meeting?

There he is again. A Southwest pilot influencing our contract negotiations and the direction of our union. That worried the offer from your management is really going to look bad compared to ours? Oh, that's right you don't have one on the table. Who knows? Maybe this gives your union a chance to put up or shut up while we are negotiating an improved agreement.

I heard Glen voted to suspend the voting on the TA so they could renegotiate it. Ain't that true United bruthers?

If I'm reading the ALPA constitution and UA ALPA policy manual correctly, only the MEC can vote to remove a MEC officer? There is no ability for the membership to initiate and vote on a recall? If true, that's unbelievable. Fox guarding the henhouse.
In ALPA you as a member MAY NOT direct a MEC member to recall anything or anyone. You can't because that would be out of order.

If you want to change the way your elected officer votes at the MEC, you can only remove that person and replace them with another rep who "gets it." If you send the wrong rep to the MEC, you will never get it done.

Choose wisely. Sending the cupcake salesman to the MEC to do your bidding doesn't end well. Your MEC rep from your local council (Chair and Vice Chair) need to be of the strongest possible character. They must be strident unionists with the ability to lead the MEC in the right direction. They must be able to "own their votes." They must take responsibility for all outcomes at the MEC. When the NC delivers an inferior product it is NOT the fault of the NC. It is YOUR FAULT. You sent the wrong guy/gal to the table on your behalf. Therefore, you must correct your error.

Moderators,

I posted a list of LEC Reps & there ALPA email addresses above and now it’s been removed. I also received a PM stating I had received an forum infraction. Those email addresses are for public union officials and their union emails not personal emails. WTF?

Re-post it. That is publicly available information per both ALPA and the DOL. There is absolutely no legal or ethical expectation of privacy with respect to your name or work email when you fill one of those seats

If you want to become a politician, you better be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

Better yet, post a screenshot from public portions of the ALPA and other websites and reference them.
