I'm sure your company would be in quite a pickle if that happens. Its all up to the CAL pilots now for this piece of potential leverage.
Vacancies are filled automatically in seniority order. If not enough pilots bid into the vacancies then those are filled by non-vols in reverse seniority order. Could be a windfall for some. Going from a reserve EWR FO to line holder LAX CA would be interesting.

At that point the CO pilots will have no advantage over their "brothers" at United. Be careful what you wish for.
Wow,

"Wish for" you say? Where did I say I wish for this?

Try re-reading my post and you'll find that I'm absolutely dead-set against this as well as whipsawing. I realize that your currently off the property but this topic is being discussed by our management team despite your preference that they don't.

Might want to take a deep breath Coto and despite your comments, I look forward to you coming back to work.

Well, that's a shame. Thanks for the facts.

You'll find UA has a tough time saying no too. 80% said yes to our last POS though I've never met one. Seems I've only talked contract to the 20% no voters.
SOTeric,

Actually it appears that the opposite might work much better. Having a unified group of 737 F/O's at CAL that can all walk away at anytime without risking seniority numbers or recall rights with UAL might be way more helpful. This group of pilots will see the potential for leverage greatly increase as their numbers increase. This could be a real game changer going forward, and the company knows it.

So if you really want to take one for the team, being part of the battle ready UAL mafia at CAL might just be the ticket!
