Craig,

Did Andy happen to mention how far down the original 170 job offers have been filled at the point of your offer, or if there was a plan to continue classes past the 170?

Any info that can be gleaned from these forums is helpful and appreciated.

Dennis and CitationD,
He did not tell me how far down I may have been on the 170. I will try to find out.

If you are not back on property at the 10 year date of your furlough you are terminated... But as pointed out the entire agreement could change in a stroke of a pen...[/QUOTE]

I understand the cutoff at 10 years for being on the property. But I want to get this part straight. Hypothetically of course, but if you bypassed 3 years and then tried to catch the next class available, and no classes come up in the next 7 years, you are screwed??

That is the literal interpretation. There is no specific provision once a pilot bypasses to force the company bring the pilot back---only the option for the pilot to notify the company of their desire for an available class. If there is no available class it would appear that the pilot is SOL.

I go for the latter.

I did some research and my offer is part of the original 178, my friends. There will be another system bid in "the first half of 2012", but the staffing needs are unknown at this time. Hope this helps!

As of today, 650 pilots of the 1437 have been sent letters and tha acceptance rate is approximately one in six. The present plan is to hire approximately 180 total by late Spring and then begin hiring again in August or September. This doesn't reflect the needs that will arise from the semi annual bid which is expected in January.
