Hey, if you were a U pilot (East or West), I don't blame you for voting for the merger because you had nowhere to go but up, but before it got to you AA pilots had to green light APA's sloppy wet kiss on Parker.
It's just I'd bet a re-vote today would reverse that course if AA legacy pilots had a chance at a do over.

Why are you even shocked? These are east pilots and they only care about themselves and that much by now should be a given in your and everyone's eyes. It really does not matter to them either way. Take the deal get a big pay raise, don't take the deal and still got a big pay raise. Its a win win situation when just a year ago top capt pay was less than 12yr fo rates at AA. They hit the lottery and they don't give a dam about APA or APA pilots, its all about them.
Continue to expect the hard line push to accept a 6yr deal loaded with loa question marks and land grab opportunities. The same old mantra of "we'll get them next time" is alive and well.

for your final paragraph, well history would lend some credibility to that.
Again, I think the APA is in a tough spot credibility wise. They not only ushered in the wolf, but SOLD him to the pilots.
They shot craps on profit-sharing selling that back for 26 million and lost.
They're waving an honorable flag at the furloughees regarding LOS, but that almost certainly will result in a goose egg. The claim situation was a fouled up sham from stem to stern. They went mute on the LTD gutting and most pilots are totally unaware of how little it will provide. Then there's the robocall Wilson made to neuter the effectiveness of his own pilots. The list goes on.......
The scope requests were simply manufactured onerously to make it look good by subsequent removal as Parker has nothing to lose there at he can't get anything in arbitration on it. Thus, if the APA just punts to the pilots now, they'll look like they've been played successfully once more and quite frankly it will only result in MORE fragmentation in the future and a weaker cohesive group. Another win for Parker. It may be painful (for now) to reject THIS offer and shoot craps with arbitration, but I think in the long run, it's the better play, at least to align more resolved pilots.
Damn, according to MY math the 7 asks by the company are small potatoes. If you DO THE MATH ON A SIMPLE CALCULATOR, the new hire $30 difference, multiplied by 73 hours per month times 12 times per year times 15,000 pilots times 6 years is $2.3652 BILLION dollars (yes with a B) in conservative dollars NOT INCLUDING ALL THE INCREASES for longevity, pay grade, etc. I do NOT need a calculator for the seven items the company asked for because I really don't think they mean OR add up to the company much.
What has knee-trembling capitulation gotten ANY of these three pilot groups in the past ?
Here is a REALITY CHECK. I bet if the company said "Hey, forget about the seven items, were just going to PAY you those rates come 01 December...NO CONTRACT, NO NOTHING ELSE.....are YOU going to tell EVERYONE THAT THEY CAN'T DO THAT AND GIVE IT BACK???
I don't see anything good there. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.

My comments aren't about the abilities of US Airways pilots per se or their "worth", simply an acknowledgement of the situation that (like it or not) existed at the pre-merger US Airways. The career expectations of the U groups were in perpetual limbo wallowing at the back of the legacy compensation spectrum. There was little hope of opportunity to change that and even if one developed, considering the positions many on the East take here, I just find it difficult to believe in regards to the East, at least , that they'd suddenly jettison their clearly long perfected defeatist attitudes and actually mount any type of a front against Parker.
Honestly, at this point, I feel like moving forward, our true strength lies in the efforts of legacy AA pilots and the West. If anything, it's these two sub-segments that seem to be on the same page in most respects. It's hard not to come to that conclusion for me considering the position most on the East take here in this situation. There's potentially good news though !
If we take the present offer, we won't have to worry about silly contract baloney for 11-13 years. That's a long time for demographics to change and maybe then that will be our opportunity to "fight another day".

This coming from a hypocrite West Pilot. We have no love lost for the ALPA ilk you and yours like McIlvenna tried to push by OFFERING TO HELP THE COMPANY turn in East Pilots for three engine taxi. YES, WE ALL SAW THE CREW NEWS. Keep your seat trash.
REALITY CHECK, CHUMP. You and yours have NO ROOM TO TALK with an almost fifty MILLION dollar fine from the Dallas District Court. Still uncollected so far but I look for that logic of yours to up the ante and very soon.
History that the West and the APA BOD voted OVERWHELMINGLY for!! Don't let the FACTS get in your way.
NAAAA....YA THINK? And YOU, the righteous APA pilot, blame LUS East for that? The rest of the world is LAUGHING at your superior intellect.
And I'M ANTI-UNIONIST GIVE AWAY? You...YES YOU GO LOOK IN THE MIRROR, GAVE IT AWAY. But don't look at me.
You've been in Dallas too long sniffing the Book repository and sun-bathing on the grassy knoll.

The APA told us that they didn't need our input. They told us "we got this kids." And it's our fault! ?
The APA Delivered this turd, you own it.[/QUOTE]
There it is, Eaglefly. We're getting tired of you APA hard-liners blowing smoke up our asses and telling us it's air conditioning.

It seems like you have forgotten AA was the one in bankruptcy and US was making money.
