You should be a union contract negotiator.
There's the truth of it. Only REAL UNION PILOTS can criticize their own. I think it's like a racist thaing.

The APA BOD voted for CLA II and MOUII.
Captain Bates, Neil Roghair (and the present Captain Wilson) went BEHIND USAPA's BACK and told us to STICK IT because THEY KNEW BETTER and Parker was their MAN! I SAW those three COWARDS at the USAPA meeting. PITIFUL! DISGRACEFUL!
Now the DFW and CLT reps are somehow crying foul for NOT DOING THEIR HOMEWORK and blaming.....PARKER? You mean, when the LUS pilots VOTED IN THE MOU II?
BTW, the CLT reps aren't giving YOU APA pilots much credit for the "MERGER":
"In April of 2012 when USAirways and APA agreed to and executed Conditional Labor Agreement and Plan of Reorganization Agreement- (CLAII) oil was at a multi-year high. Furthermore, the pricing power and synergies of industry consolidation had not taken effect since the AA-US merger was the last piece of the puzzle. The industry landscape was totally different then. Management did what they always do. They locked in bankruptcy era working conditions and cost structure while they had the opportunity, all the while playing the role of the white knight. Remember, this was all done under the threat of the 1113 bankruptcy process alternative and the LUS pilots were dragged along with them. To highlight the lack of input afforded the LUS pilots, the APA (different BOD) negotiated away our profit sharing for a mere $12 million value. That is the equivalent of when the Dutch bought Manhattan Island from the Indians for $24 and a bunch of beads. The most appalling part was that the media was comparing Mr. Parker to Herb Kelleher!"
The APA has to be THE DUMBEST PILOT GROUP IN THE INDUSTRY!
BAR NONE!
I know where this is going. ARBITRATION.
Good. I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to that "pilot leverage" you're going to have if you don't get your way.
New hire pilots BEWARE! Who is REALLY doing you a service?
Me telling THE FACTS AND THE TRUTH or these two guys leading you down the path of woe and pity. It doesn't affect you much this year or next, but in four years it will.

I'll educate you incase you forgot. The CLT reps held the position that we should have refused to jump at Parker's first offer, in the biggest airline merger in history. A few prominent Union members stirred up fear among the pilots and turned a vocal crowd against the notion of holding the line... And started a recall effort to subvert the BPR. In addition they bragged about simultaneously conspiring with the company to play the CLT reps during negotiations.
Glass and Parker would be delighted in a repeat in the current negotiations.
Are you a selfish individual, or do you trust the BOD with the job they have?

I seem to remember that the APA went down the MOU road without US pilots, and only at the end the US pilots were allowed a vote on whether we wanted to that the MOU now, or have it forced down our throats after SCS.
Can you lay out where I'm wrong and what the NO vote path would have lead to?

Probably the best thing is to let the negotiating committee do their job, and while they are let the BOD know what is important to us.

So yes, when it comes to the WEAK APA BOD I am selfish!

Section should read........ (one that doesn't show up anyway, even as a duty period as opposed to a calendar day until PBS begins).
