The 20 767-300s for Atlas will be acquired by Titan Leasing, a subsidiary of AAWH and leased to Amazon. The process has already begun as several 767s are in conversion or slated to be converted soon.

But FYI, I talked to training today. Nothing planned. Something should come out soon. Maybe the company is playing with us? Who knows.

True. I have no idea what they're holding out for beyond OE. I'm surprised they haven't scheduled anything yet for future dates. It makes me wonder...

My friend was just offered a June 27th class on the 747, so classes are definitely being scheduled. I believe he interviewed in January.

I have a question. I don't know much about unions. As a new hire, if the union decides that a strike is necessary, are you protected? I wondered if you are on "probation" your first year and the mgmt can fire you for any reason.

Thanks for your time and answers.

You are not protected by the company; but, you are FULLY protected by the union. If the company fires you; we will not come back to work until the probationary crewmembers are reinstated and made whole. Period.

Don't worry, by the time we get released by the NMB, you will no longer be on probation...

However, that assumes the NMB would ever release us in the first place (not likely until we've jumped through many many hoops).

However number two (!!), with this very successful strike authorization vote, the moment the company violates "status quo" the Union can call for a variety of actions, up to and including a strike -- okay, so you may not be off probation.

So, clear as mud?!!

I'll be honest, I would love to be through initial and OE before all this goes down. While I hope it all goes for the better I want to have that protection in case.

"Protection" has nothing to do with Initial and IOE. It is based SOLELY on being off probation (ie. One year of employment).
