IMHO, There is likely no shortage of companies offering to fly cheaper, but it's getting to the point that completion factor will drive the contracts, and that requires staffing. Pilots are the new currency, and those with the staffing will get the work. It won't happen all at once, it won't happen fast, but it is happening.

Sure have a lot of opinions for someone with <10 months on the line and just barely a year with the company. Surprised you still haven’t learned from your Eagle days.

An industry observation does not a lifetime at a specific company require.... does it? Have experience and exposure to many through prior union work at national. Omni is a good company to work for. Very happy to be here. Does it show

Was something in that observation/opinion not accurate? or are you just throwing a dig at me personally? If something wasn't accurate, please correct it so the best info gets out. It's a good job and a good company. That's just my opinion though. I'd be interested to hear other viewpoints.

Well articulated and tactful.

My apologies for the late reply i don’t hover around these forums. Not a personal dig but the truth. Your "IMHO" is not the Omni hiring model at all. Rumors and misinformation posted in a "WhatsApp" group doesn’t constitute factual information. Some in that group may be slightly informed but none attend the morning meetings!

If you haven’t noticed Omni keeps it’s cards close to the table which is one of the driving reasons Omni gets the contracts and repeat customers they do. It’s also clearly stated in our social media policy and security manuals.

I digress, If you want longevity in this company sometimes it’s best to observe and learn instead of being the poster child.

Fair enough. I’m not in any of those app groups though. I’ll make a point to read the media policy again. Thanks.

I speculate and/or assert that I need to be in the hotel lobby at xx45 for a xx00 van to the airport. Anything else is conjecture and/or opinion and is not worth the time of day.

Having reviewed same, don’t think I’ve run afoul of it in any way in the referenced post. I do appreciate the refresher though. There were a few topics in the policy I’d forgotten about, so the review was good.

It’s a good company, I’m proud to be here, and I enjoy the coworkers and job very much. Happy to share that with anybody interested. Obviously with sensitive information withheld.

Seriously dude, why can't you just fly under the radar instead of coming on these forums as a know it all? Same thing happened to you at your last company where I was a co worker of yours. Maybe make some general comments but your tendency to be in the know seems to get your foot stuck in your mouth everywhere you go. Glad you got a good gig at Omni and want to see you stay there.

Glad all is well at your LCC. Haven't said anything that wasn't already public, but thanks for the tune-up and concern anyway. It's appreciated. Lower profile may be best an certainly can't hurt. Nothing but good things to say about Omni though, unlike the place we were both at before.

So it looks like you guys are getting another aircraft, now N389AA. FAA says it's gonna be renumbered N432AX. Given that the digits add up to "9", sure seems like one of your tail numbers.
https://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinq...umberTxt=389aa

This is one of the American 767-300s that ATSG (and its leasing subsidiary CAM) locked up by optioning almost all of them, to be purchased as they retire.

Given that CAM moved it after purchase to MZJ rather than to TLV (where CAM does its freighter conversions), is it safe to presume that it's being reconfigured for continued passenger use?

Regardless, nice to see you guys expanding even more!!

(BTW, I have long been curious as to why your tail digits add to 9 or two-9s. Been that way since you flew DC10s. Anybody know the history of that?)
