Possible but not likely. ANC is difficult. I can't speak to the overseas alternate travel. By living in ANC or overseas you negate the only true advantage to working at Omni which is Home Basing.

I’m positive I’ve seen this somewhere in this thread and will keep searching while awaiting an answer, but are they hiring FOs with 121 time but no turbine PIC? I’ve got 2200TT, 600 turbine SIC, 1600 PIC in pistons, and think Omni would be a good fit for me if my experience is acceptable.

I would absolutely apply. I've never seen it posted that they want turbine PIC specifically

Excellent. Thanks! I was going to apply regardless while the window is open but glad to hear I at least have a chance!

If you meet these requirements go ahead and apply. Omni needs pilots and if you're qualified you're qualified.

So, a little off topic and a little less serious than most posts, but what are the good layovers at Omni and what aren’t? I assume things are starting to open up in other countries

I asked not too long ago and it sounds like only Japan is currently closed to leaving the base.

Can you opt to be flown somewhere other than your designated home base on go home day as long as it’s on the list? My family often meets me places when it looks like I can’t get home (much less of a problem I’m sure at Omni) and I see Omni pilots and family get United benefits. Basic lowest priority standby I’m sure?

Yes, can you tell us more about the layovers?

Yes. You actually can be flown anywhere whether it's on the "list" or not. As long as the ticket is the same price or less than your "go home" ticket. And they prob won't buy you a hotel if it's at a later time or something like that. You can request alternate travel to or from work. Again, as along as it doesn't cost more.
