Everyone that was in the training class that got furloughed have been recalled today. The source is the bottom man on the totem pole telling me this after he got called today. Appears it will be a November re-start date.

Do the folks TDY'd to Madrid get int'l per diem for the entire time they're OCONUS? Ninety days straight on the per diem clock would be a decent chunk of tax-free $$! What are the accommodations like at both ends of that run? What kind of hours are the pilots crediting for that assignment? I hear it's more of a regular schedule, not the 18-on one from Stateside.

I guess somebody is running low on sunshine and flowers to sell you Hovernut. Since Spain is your base, do not expect to receive per diem while in base per the CBA. As for the hotel, from I can tell it's an overnight European hotel. No pool, no crew room, standard hotel prices for food and laundry which charged per article of clothing. The nearest laundry mat is a cab ride away on your own dime. The CBA portion of this is fact and the hotel information is strictly hear say. Maybe some of the pilots flying the line out there that are reading this can tell you about their flight times and monthly credit hours they are receiving.

Also, you must check out of your "home" lodgings every trip (including removing all personal belongings) for the entire 90 day period.
Essentially it is just a 90-day three month bid line now...just a TDY for namesake.
