The 4 hours of credit we may go with, instead of the 4:45 adtg, is only credited on calendar days we don't work. The company can build trips that have duty periods crossing two days, effectively negating the 4 hours of credit for a non-working day option. Without the atdg, our 2 days can pay a minimum of 4 hours and our 3 days can pay a minimum of 8 hours. With the adtg, the minimum 2 day is 9:30, while the minimum 3 day is 14:15.

I think what he's saying is anything can happen. Things may look up now and can change rapidly. A good example would be when Mesaba hired street captains. Then basically a 3-way merger happened, the crash in Buffalo, the economy melted down after fuel spiked and then crashed. That's a roller coaster ride many could not have predicted. Who knows, something crazy could happen to Compass. That's why you shouldn't get wrapped around the axle on specific CPA's carrier may have. They're all subject to change.

Maybe it's your wording, but this doesn't seem correct...we do not get 4 hours per duty day currently with application to ADTG...see example below without 30 hour overnight
Day 1
MSP-BZN
T Credit = 2:45
Day 2
BZN-MSP
MSP-EWR
EWR-MSP
T Credit = 8:22
With ADTG = 11:07
With 4 hour min day = 12:22
Another thing I want you all to keep in mind the company does not want to make 16 hour four day pairings, they cannot and will not try to do this, there maybe 1-5 a month but the company is trying to use us as efficiently as possible, when we are working, they want us to work and maximize our usage...again some of you believe ADTG saves us from 16 hour pairings, there are always going to be a few insufficient pairings because PBS cannot assign all the flying perfectly, those trips will go junior. This pilot group fought long and hard for 4 hour min day + PBS credit and I'de hate to see us give the company the upper hand, and stay with this concession...

Just because they have an ADTG doesn't mean they get out of the contractually required minimum day pay of 4:00...

Where are you getting that we have minimum day pay of 4:00 hours? We have a minimum duty period credit of 4 hours, but no min day pay other than the adtg. The 4 hours of pay/credit we may choose to go with, is only for calendar days we have no duty.

In that case, ADTG wouldn't apply and 4:00 Minimum Duty Period Credit would carry. You are correct that if ADTG goes away we will lose the ability to capture pay for a duty period that spans 2 days.
Disclaimer, SDP's were not included in ADTG from the getgo...

Why do you keep ignoring the "no duty assigned" part? That is the key to your understanding of why we can get paid 4:00 for a 2 day and 8:00 for a 3 day.
Again, for all of you confused, if we choose to get rid of the adtg, we do not get 4:00/day minimum. We will get... "4 hours pay and credit for each calendar day away from base with no duty assigned"

Wouldn't there be a trip rig bargained for in lieu of ADTG? I get that it's not in the contract now, but wouldn't there be a better proposal put forward?
