Well, email any former North guy/gal and they’ll probably share the full color, nicely illustrated, in-depth PDF of the NWA Vol 2s they have squirreled away.

Default Online Assessment

Cog test with practice examples, then a personality test.

Pilot training was tougher, but only because it was a year long event with ridiculously high standards, whereas a CFI ride was a single event. I'd have taken any of the 10 checkrides at Sheppard over my CFI check any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I do agree with Drum on the sign. Nothing wrong with the sign, every company with pilots should have a similar sign hanging over the entrances to their ops. It's not so much arrogance as it is attempting to push a mindset of professionalism and excellence.

Nothing was harder than ASCS by correspondence! I could only WISH I were an air molecule gallivanting through a jet engine…Try writing a 10-page paper on a topic you don’t understand, using words you’ve never heard of, based on videos you didn’t actually watch, and articles you never read while being locked out of your AF port hole for non-completion of IA training that was due YESTERDAY, when this paper you just started at 2200 is due by MIDNIGHT, and Dos Gringos and Jack Daniels are pounding on your proverbial billeting room door…all while knowing you left your bar tab open, and your bros know it, and the locals you just met and tried to impress know it, and you’ve already been passed over twice for PME non-completion and your interest-only mortgage on your Vegas mini mansion is about to balloon and you really need that extra scratch, or at least this job.

No way a CFI check will make you sweat like that.

True story.

As the OP for this thread about the new hiring process, I ask Drum et. al. to take your d!ck measuring contest about who had a tougher CFI checkride and create your own thread.

The bolded line is partly our fault wrt what's in the contract. Making vacation pay AND credit would help mitigate that. Agree 100% with the rest of your post.
