Appreciate it! I'm more inclined to enjoy my time off but definitely appreciate the insights.

Anyone know if there is anyway to partially/restore those RES days and pump those numbers back up? I'm guessing P/DRs are Hard (unable to) No Fly Days precluding YS/GS. I'll do my own research as well, but this seemed like an appropriate thread for me.
3 things will add hours to your time card that you can control pay back days, vacation bank, and full service bank. Vacation bank and full service bank are borrowing from the future. Vacation bank is more effort on your part and the last time I did it required CPO involvemet and several emails because the person on the company side was not familiar with the process. Full service bank is easy and you are allowed to go negative up to 20 hours.

Question regarding a trip buy for recency of experience (reserve pilot on on-call days):

As per 11.3.a/b, it should be 5:00 pay, no credit, with a corresponding prorated reduction in reserve guarantee.

While this seems relatively clear, do any other pay treatments apply? Sit/EDP/reroute etc?

So it’s five hours paid above a guarantee that has been reduced by five hours? I’ve only ever believed trip buys to be donating your time to fix company problems. It’s been a minute since I had any interest in doing that myself.

Mostly accurate if I’m interpreting the PWA correctly. The reduction is the prorated value of a reserve day, assuming you’re not on an X day in which case it’s a little different. If I requested to buy the trip in question it would be over on-call days. What isn’t addressed (or I just can’t locate) is whether or not sit/edp or reroute pay still apply.

Yep. Nothing in open time for days. I have 9 days if availability. Just assigned SC5 for tomorrow. I only have 5 for the month because of CQ.

Probably gonna YS SC6+ not get it and join the grievance while being on 18 hour call until the 30th.

I'm not a RES bidder any more (since I moved away from base), so I'm not directly affected by this. I wonder, though, if they'll award extra SCs over the Thanksgiving weekend. Will be interesting to see if the tune changes for a historically hard-to-cover period....

They will be. Can't remember where I heard it from but CS has said they will award extra SC periods if YS over Thanksgiving weekend

Green Slip > SCC. Why yellow slip for short call at that point? You’re likely going to get used.
