The PWA and the Scheduling Reference Handbook says "promptly available," which is the same obligation as SC. I'd be at the hotel. If they wanted people at the airport, they should assign VAS. Where did you see immediately?

I apologize. It does say "promptly available." I got mixed up with 23k.

None of that matters if you choose to self-acknowledge any changes. In that case you are on the hook for the changes, which is why you should never ever self-acknowledge anything until properly notified.

When they give you SC, you are still on LC until 18 hours prior to the start of SC and then you go into rest. While you are on LC scheduling can change your future assignment. Note that if any rotation is assigned they must call you from a live scheduler to notify you while you are on LC. If they try to do anything, even if they call you, once you are in rest you can completely disregard any changes and be ready for SC as assigned. If that means you no-show a rotation that they assigned with an earlier report then they will figure out their mistake when they call you after you don’t sign in.

i dont know if the change was after my required schedule check before the start of my reserve sequence. Is that the gotcha? If the change was after my required schedule check then they have to call me at some point. I’m on LC starting 0000 tonight until tmrw morning now followed by 24 hours rest. So, if they dont call me by my rest period then I’m off the hook? If they do I’m stuck?

I was off today, start long call tmrw then was originally scheduled for the 2359 SC for Monday night. At some point this afternoon (two days before the rotation), they removed the SC and added a day trip on Tuesday with a release that would have conflicted with the original SC.

You are NOT required to check your schedule!!
You are responsible to report as early as 10 hours after the end of your X day if a trip was on your schedule 12 hours before the start of reserve.
This is a significant and meaningful difference and it matters that pilots get this correct. CS abuses pilot ignorance, especially in categories with FRMS trips.
