This is the way! We used to have 1800 SC which was even better. They even did 2000 SC for a short time, but quickly figured out that was useless. But I will take 1600 (+2 hours noncontactable) if need be.

The company was required to automate sick calls. I don't think it mattered what app they chose to use it with, could have even been a new app. But MiCrew is what was used to satisfy(?) the requirement. The broken-ness of MiCrew sick swiping likely further demonstrates how far MiCrew has to go as a reliable "official" schedule app.

I can't speak for anyone else but in my few years working here I almost never touch iCrew unless I'm updating a slip. Even on reserve I've always relied solely on Micrew. Am I in the wrong? Ok yes. But, has anyone ever experienced iCrew and MiCrew showing different things? Because I've never once seen it be wrong. Had anyone here actually been burned by a discrepancy between iCrew and MiCrew?
When changes are happening rapidly, Micrew is garbage! Wrong fleet type on a certain leg....wrong times (compared to icrew).
There is a reason even Delta's own MiCrew user guide says its not official.
Burned? No...because I check via icrew or call the VRU when I'm hustling through the terminal to catch the last commute flight home.

It honestly just speaks to the mentality on the 4th floor and with those specific tech pilots. They provide a barely functional app to be used for reference only* and expect us to be uncritical and appreciative of their efforts.

Apparently, Micrew doesn't timestamp the schedule when someone views their schedule like icrew does. At least, it didn't when the guidance was sent out. Additionally, there is an issue with MiCrew showing accurate information. It takes longer for schedules/rotations to be updated than iCrew. It's the same reason why we see so many posts of people asking why rotations are in OT with the wrong equipment type. When they verify in iCrew, the equipment types are correct.
