You can have all the resolve you want. However, they control your day to day life when on the job and they can make your life pretty miserable along the way. Sure, we can grieve it. But where has that gotten us? Recall the infamous "it's not a grievance until the arbitrator says so". So unless, until, that process runs out, our lives while on the job (and to some extent off time) become pretty unsavory. Going back to your tenure here, perhaps you don't recognize the names that were moved in to key positions or their history. Nothing about these moves is a good thing for this pilot group.
My post didn’t clearly convey my attitude. I’m not apathetic to the changes. It’s exactly the type of treatment from the company I’ve come to expect. Their actions are driving my apathy towards the operation and their precious NPS numbers. The names and faces and titles that change don’t matter - I’ve felt the hostility from management towards this pilot group and know it will only ramp up in contract negotiations.

At least ATL guys won’t have far to go. Also you get paid 5.15 now to do it. Don’t forget union representation. That’ll be a 10.30 day of cost to the company.
make sure you wear your Delta-issued parachute pants to the interview.

Yeah, this is a weird flex. I don't really pay attention to uniform wear. My FOs are generally in compliance the occasional NF jacket on to do the walk around in a Blizzard. I'm good with that. If you don't want to wear your hat I don't care.

I'd really like to see how this thing fleshes out. My guess is once they start paying people 10:30 to be counseled that's gonna tone down pretty quick. Also I'm curious on how they're gonna enforce this. They don't have the personnel in the CP offices to walk the terminals. Maybe in ATL? Or are they gonna unleash the LCAs on us? That'll be a really bad move to pit the pilot group and the LCAs against one another.

It's far past time for a hats off campaign. We need to start this ASAP. MEC are you listening

Can you be a “great dude” amongst the pilots and also enforce the standards set by Delta? Or do you automatically become the enemy once you become “the man?”

There are those people who always have to be at war with the boss. And there are people who lose their mind once they are “put in charge” of something. Saw both cases pretty frequently in a previous life.

It depends on what battles you choose. Specifically choosing hat and jacket wear enforcement is petty.
