I agree with you that our pay system is a big issue and needs fixed big time. But I bet you've met a pilot who was overpaid, they're just not talking about it.

These workarounds don’t always work but they have a pretty good track record.

1) Don’t check in right away, but do look at the seat you’re assigned. Once working 24 hours go into the app and move seats BEFORE checking in if you desire a different seat.

2) If you check in and you can’t select C+ upgrade (contract violation), use the “check in again” menu option. It should then ask if you want any or window/aisle only.

3) Once you check in again, it sometimes unlocks the seat moves, but not always.

4) Once you have checked in on the app and set C+ upgrade preferences, within 24 hours but before 1 hour, go into the website and try moving seats. It works sometimes when the app locks you out.

5) Within an hour but outside 40 minutes, try moving seats with the app (doesn’t work often) or the website (sometimes works). Also just talk to the gate agent, who may or may not move you…I had one once who refused to upgrade me in uniform even though I was at the top of the list because they didn’t want to. Fun times.

I've had luck arguing with pilot assist if the seat is for sale on delta.com telling them that. They then can't argue it isn't available and that the problem is clearly they built the dh with the wrong yield fare.

I’ve had that same argument with a different result. “Sorry, not available” (for you) enjoy your 5 hour DH.

the fact that there are 5 steps that sometimes work to get your butt in the seat we are contractually entitled to / negotiated for - speaks for itself.

I'm picturing Academy Awards swag bags. Am I being overly optimistic?

In my career at this Air Line, I have been underpaid tens of thousands of dollars that I know about. I have been overpaid $780 which they recovered without notice 5 months later. Tell me this isn't intentional.

I've been overpaid before. Also, iCrew pay won't get PAS to match iCrew pay for a wonky month I had. They said iCrew shows the right number, so that's good enough.

Absolutely insane that we have to do this. How anyone can still drink Delta koolaid these days just boggles my mind.

These are management excuses. I’m not interested in their excuses I’m interested in at least reaching industry standard. If United can swing it, so can we.
