I was recently and sadly involved in a long business transaction involving leasing a expensive asset to a company. It turned out the company was cooking the books on maintenance and other expenses and then refusing to pay what they even admitted they owed me on time. They felt they had me over a barrel. The asset and the headquarters were in different foreign countries. They had unique skill set to maintain it. I showed up and removed the asset from their possession even though in the long run I could have made a lot more money keeping it with them and selling. I took the hit and essentially voted with my feet and its going to cost me a lot of money but I like what I see when I look in the mirror. Some things are far more important then cash.
What in the H E L L are you talking about? You're talking about ALPA, right?

Dude: So, hot day here in Orlando huh?

Girl: Yeah.

Dude: Cool, yeah, I'm a Delta pilot.

Girl: Oh, okay, that's cool. Do you fly those little regional jets? Every time I fly on Delta it's in a little jet.

Dude: Oh, no. I fly the big international jets.

Girl: Like a 747?

Dude: No, no. A little smaller. We call it the E-R. It's the Boeing 767-300ER. The ER means extended range, it's an international airplane.

Girl: Uh huh... what's that loud noise? OH LOOK!!!!!

Girl: GOSH, ever since that Denzel movie, MD-80s are so freaking hot. Too bad you don't fly those!

Oh man, I'll bite! Come on Sailing, that just sounds like too good a story, I'm picturing a flying repo sneaking out of Columbia under the radar, gunplay, and a movie being made from it!

And I'm picturing you being played by Denzel, something like:

I told you, you don't try to keep no M'Fing asset of mine, I'm flying it out of here!

I add co workers to that list.

You First. Your letter of resignation would get more attention than your "private" letter telling Delta how you would run New York.

Never stated any of those things. Do you intend to lie and exaggerate, or do you really not know the difference?

Sounds to me like he got his gas trimmer back from the guy who does his landscaping.

Just joking. I think he has one, or some, sailboats. I'd guess it relates to that business.
