That's why I'm glad we limited the number of 70-seaters from unlimited, down to 102. BTW, the 76-seater is a big deal, as is the number of flights over 900sm, glad to see that we effectively reduced those also.
Bill Lumberg? Is that you? |

As we go through the latest thrash about growth and contracts, could we all remember one thing? If Delta merges with another airline, their planes and pilots don't become Delta pilots until something happens. What is it?
A joint contract. Don't make the mistake of trying to plug a merger into the current contract. There will have to be a new one. Thrash away. |

70 seaters were NOT unlimited under the previous contract!!!!! Large RJs(that's 76 seat AND 70 seat aircraft) were LIMITED to 255. Off those 255, 153 were permitted to be 76 seaters. 70 seat RJs were NOT unlimited!!!
oh wait, he means turboprops too doesn't he? I forgot all about that silliness. |

Allow pilots to vote for their MEC Chairman directly.
Can you show me a business model where the owners (members) elect the CEO, the management team and the governance structure (MEC Chair, Committee Chair, LEC reps)? |

Note that the projected fleet count is well below what it would have had to be for DCI to get 70 more jumbo RJs.
88 growth airplanes? Nope! Only a few more than what we had when we merged. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/...4/facepalm.jpg I do think (hope) we'll start hiring sooner rather than later... |
