Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Now the out of base WS's are taking trips when they are out of reserves.
I get the normal WS's......senior guys can do what they want. These out of base WS's......shouldn't happen.

The chance you would have gotten it as a gswc is virtually nil....that fact notwithstanding, how about you bid the way you want to bid, and let everyone else bid the way deem best for them...that work for you chief? gmafb!
So no SC's for 2 days now in SLC. They have 5 LC pilots for tomorrow and didn't assign any SC. Can't figure out how that helps with 117. Everything has been covered with GS, WS, and out of base WS the past 2 days except 1 trip.
While I agree a GSWC is rare, they do happen. I've done 2 and been here 7 years. Both in scenarios just like we are in now. When the robo calls for IA's go out the next option they have is GSWC or cancel the trip.
Letting guys out of base WS is BS because they shouldn't be able to take a trip out of a base they cannot bid into in the first place. They should be able to out of base GS because then everyone else in base has at least had a shot at the trip for straight pay and premium pay.

I also heard from a very good source that we are asking for door pay and an increase in ADG. Since I heard this I think its important for every pilot to back ALPA on this one. DO NOT acknowledge a trip until 3 hours prior and then ask for your FAR 117 mandated rest. That is how we can get some much needed leverage back
Go easy on him. People on here harp on guys for even putting in GS's because if none of us did it then we would hire more. Then when everything melts down everyone throws in WS's, YS's, and out of base WS's. That's even worse because now the trips get covered for straight pay (free if a YS on an X day) when they would have been covered by GS's at premium pay.

From what I was told, basically the only people the out of base white slips beat out are short call pilots.
I tried to out of base white slip a few months this year and found out that they weren't nearly as easy to get as I thought they would be.
