Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Both sides in a negotiation have constituents to satisfy, so they are almost forced to open with extreme positions and perform a choreographed dance toward an agreement. Attempting to be "reasonable" by opening with something closer to the middle ground simply changes the location of the middle ground.

I'm heading down to CQ in half an hour. I have 6 days on call starting on Wednesday but..........(I couldn't have bid this if I tried.)...............I have a regular line with 3 HKG's on it and I'm done on 14 Aug. Total hard time about 81:30. Back Aug 14th up by 28 days and you get July 18...........................There's not a whole lot I can be called out on for those 6 on call days!:eek::)

Here's the kicker, I'm going to try and use some payback days to drop at least one of those trips but I don't want to do it until the end of my on call days!!!

You, more than any other pilot, have a huge following among the insiders. If you don't think we can get at least 20% out of the gate without trading our profit sharing, we are in very bad shape.

Please, please, please don't take this the wrong way, but they could pay RA 100 percent more and it will not even move the employee expense line on the ledger a smidgen. Increasing the wages of 12000 pilots by a rate of 20 percent will have a much different consequence.

This is not to say we should not expect 20 percent on day one, just that it costs the corporation a lot more than to award it to one individual.

You know I love ya NewK, but it's not too much to ask of an anchor for them to actually listen to the person they're interviewing. Then make your follow up questions based upon what the person being interviewed actually says.

It's also not too much to ask of a network to vet anyone they're going to put on the air live. And if you can't vet them, at least put them on a 10 second delay.

I don't see what she did as being all that unreasonable. I'm sure I would have done the exact same thing.

Icrew max shows u your schedule and open time both with no connection, once you've downloaded them. I always browse them in airplane mode while flying.
