Duluth is a great city, in the summer..

So, twice I tried to move reserve xx and PB days from early Nov to later Nov. The days I wanted to go on call have Reserve Available less than required. The days I wanted to slide XX or PB to have Available well above Required. The system took the requests with no error messages. So why did both requests expire unprocessed?

Duluth is an awesome town. As mentioned earlier - spring, fall and summer are much nicer (for a layover) since there is so much to do outdoors.

Wintertime, I'd suggest a UMD men's hockey game if you are there on a Friday or Saturday evening. There are also multiple breweries there that you can get tours of.

Just spent 2 hours in an exercise in futility. Not only are our non-rev benefits worthless, the Fly for even less is an outright ripoff of employees. Trying to get a family member here next week. Buddy pass: $414 round trip. Fly for even "Less" : $440! Delta.com was $385 for all middle seats. Ended up booking on Orbitz, all aisle or window seats for $381 round trip, including Orbits fee and assigned seats. Tried getting through to a human in reservations...after 45 min on hold gave up.

Will never give out a buddy pass again not waste time on Delta.com.

I understand our customers frustrations.

Look at section 23.W. from the PWA, Reserves Required. It goes into great detail about moving X days and swaps. I would post it, but its pretty long and complicated.

I think it was written by Issac Newton - here is a sample:


For each category, the number of reserves required (R) on a given day (D) will be
35 determined as follows:
36 a. LMD on D
37 increased by
38 b. B, the result of which will be rounded to the next higher integer and
39 added to
40 c. O.

Got that? LMD on D increased by B rounded up to the nearest integer and then added to O. :)

Seriously though, there are some pretty good examples that even Pilots can understand.
