3 green, not that it matters now, there were no limitations on WS pickups with LCA and LCA could swap/drop with no limitations. Not sure how ALPA lied to you. But again, all water under the bridge now.

Clearly the original post was referring to a JR FO swapping into a trip that was already crewed with a LCA. It has nothing to do with whether or not a LCA can WS or swap. The point being that DALPA said that the OE trip drop changes in the last TA would only Impact Sr FO's in a given category. Clearly that is complete BS on every level. It would have impacted all FO's whether they can hold LCA trips or not. The scenario above is one example but the glaring issue was the withholding of large numbers of trips in RVR bid packet by training scheduling. The water fall effect for FO bidding was going to be massive.

Reserve trip assignment rules and the Yellow slip process at Delta suck balls. That's all I have to say about that.

We could go back to the old system where senior guys could bid a low yellow, which was last one to call, and never fly. The junior reserves got to fly just about every trip.

Newb shadow period question

Where do you find your shadow period on delta net? Does it come out before or after the bid window?

I know they showed it to us in Indoc but I can't find it

How long ago are we talking? I agree with Rocky that our reserve bucket system sucks and does not work as it was advertised. Kind of like the ALV+15 provision was sold as "...but when you reach your guarantee for the month, you're done for the month"...as if we couldn't figure out that a guy 1 minute short of his guarantee was going to be tagged...but I digress. Current reserve rules need to change to make them more equitable for junior on reserve.

That has nothing to do with the way the bucket system was designed and trips are assigned from the buckets.

If you have 3 reserves available and 3 2-day trips in the pot all 3 guys are working a 2-day trip regardless of their days of availability. If you happen to be in the 4 day bucket your YS preference request is ignored when assigning the trips because you are not in the 2-day bucket. How stupid is that??

§11.F.8 & §22.C.4

Based on your post, I'm assuming you're a new hire--meaning you'll have a 15-day shadow (per §22.C.4). It starts the day after your projected sim check and runs continuously (§11.F.8). Easiest (and probably earliest) place to "see" it is the PBS calendar.

Thanks a bunch.

Yes I'm a new hire

Ok, all of you aircraft certification geniuses out there, here is an article that describes a 'new 737MAX', only with new wings and a taller landing gear, presumably for bigger engines. Yes, it's a 757 replacement. So, wouldn't taller landing gear make the aircraft subject to a new certification, thereby forcing Boeing to attach a modern cockpit to the fuselage?
