As an example: If you have 3,4,5 off and want 4,5,6 off just enter the 3rd from and the 6th to. That way, if the reserves required do not meet the reserves available on the 4th or the 5th but do on the 3rd, you will get the swap. I don't think that is the case if you list all three for the shift.

What I am trying to do is move the 7,8 to 23,24. Just not sure how to fill in the proper blanks. Just a old dog trying to learn new tricks

Like someone said before, put in 07 Feb to 08 Feb in the FROM and 23 Feb to 24 Feb in the TO column. There are multiple FROM/TO groups in case someone wants to move two or more groups of xdays and wants it all or nothing. The program will not let you have more groups of xdays than you are allowed and, if you are in a domestic category, will not let you be on call for more than the max allowable days etc. Also, when you move a golden day.......it becomes a regular xday. I know, more information than you asked for but I just wanted to be thorough!:)

The reference point for my statement is two squadron buddies hired at each company in the late 90s. One was furloughed twice, received no longevity increases while furloughed, and saw the writing on the wall with respect to the bottom part of the list with the Compass agreement. Very few of his class are still on the seniority list. You may say that was management, but the DL was facing the same challenges. On the good side, senior members kept their hard earned retirements.

The guy at the other company saw his group fight for longevity pay and saw some members (deadzoners) endure huge sacrifices that they'll never recover from. He realized the entire time his group was going out of it's way to spread the pain as equally as possible many times going out of it's way to take care of the most vulnerable members.

We've sat in a little cocoon here at DL but I think we have to remember the combined group includes many who have spent a career fighting their fellow pilots. I'd like to see as unified a group as possible. When you label a major portion of a group as weak it begs the question, what's your agenda?

Their longevity was restored, and they got a part of the claim sale, if they accepted recall.

For accuracy's sake and not this stupid ****ing match, that was only due to the JCBA with DL.

Denny

What I see kind of hosing pilots is the vacation rebid. You can see that if people are already in the seat (i.e.MSP M88 B) and just moving bases with an AE, they are getting converted after junior pilots that needs training (makes sense because they still need to have bodies to fly the jets). This in effect allows the junior pilot to rebid their vacation before the senior pilot gets converted.

Disclaimer: I am not affected by this but it is something that I think should be addressed in future contract discussions.

Thanks all of you. Finally got it. Went to the Dr. the other day for a physical. Called me back with the results. Told me the bad news. I had cancer and Altzheimers. I said no, that is good news. I thought I had cancer.
