I would imagine the reason we haven't gotten one yet is they can't figure out how to put a good spin on the cover letter.

They're working on setting up a Paypal account for people who wish to donate. :)

IMHO, ALPA is too HEAVY and inefficient.(Too many high paying employees) If ALPA needs money from the membership then ALPA first needs to reduce head-count within and become efficient.;):D

Really what's going on here is:

ALPA Delta South: "You know if you elect DPA they're going to try and get a new SLI more favorable to Delta North pilots."

DPA Leaning Pilots: "You can't change the SLI."

ALPA: "Yes you can...DPA lawyer says gobbledigook UsAir, that's how."

DPA Leaning Pilots: "No you can't." or "Even if you can by negotiating a new one instead of going to court, nobody is asking nor wanting to go down that road and it would fail miserably in court or in a vote."

So what's this about? Some folks that seem to love ALPA or work in ALPA say if you vote for the DPA because you think they will be better than DALPA careful what you wish for Delta South pilots, the DPA will come after your seniority.

To say it another way, the idea being propagated is that the #1 goal of the DPA is to change the SLI because that's what DALN pilots really want and only DALN pilots would want something other than DALPA since it was DALS originally. Problem is, there are a lot of DALS pilots who have joined the DPA and a lot of them in ATL- according to the DPA. Doesn't seem to be a mission of anybody to have the SLI reopened at any time much less going into C2012.

Seems there is hope for the DPA to turn into a N vs S or Red vs Blue debate being created and nobody seems to be biting.

Yeah but the 753 rudder is 4x bigger. :D

And the DC-8 is always sitting on the cargo ramp staring at you with that goofy smile:

No.

1) The case is far, far from over and stands a reasonable possibility of being overturned at a higher level.

2) ALPA has never had an assessment for any financial judgement against.

3) Insurance is carried that will protect the membership.

4) Damages is a vague term and costing has not even been started, any one who gives you a "number" is not citing facts, its just rumor-mongering..

I am sure ALPA will file an appeal or two, and it could be years before this sucker get to the damages portion of the lawsuit. Heck, you may even be a Captain by then. :D

ALPA has reduced its headcount by over 25% in the last ten years.

Yep, whatever the reason, there should never be a N v S debate. Heck even the Reps do not act that way. They are all Delta pilot issues no matter how anyone wants to spin them.
