I'm a big boy. I don't need promises, other than a commitment to leave no stone unturned in my reps' efforts to bring me as much in gains as possible.
If you really believe that to be the reason the MEC does not release survey results, call your rep out on it and see what he says.
I was not happy with most of the answers, but you can't make everyone happy. Turns out I'm in the minority, as are most of us here who expect more from our "Representatives".
I thought we settled much too low, and much too fast, oh, and we gave away some profit sharing as well. Brilliant.
They told me the company opened with zero % raises.
I said, "You should have gotten up and walked out."
It seems nobody has ever said No to Richard. How do you ever expect to get back what we gave up, if you're not willing to stand up to him? Get on your knees and beg? How's that working so far?

I'm in contact with my Rep. quite often. He was not the rep during C2012, but prior to my vote, I did call my (then) Rep. and asked him lots of questions. I also called a member of the Negotiating comm and asked him a lot of questions.

Here's the part that bothers me: Why don't we know what WE opened with? What did WE actually ASK for? Was it 20/40/20/20 and all RJ's gone? Was it 5/9/4/4 and only 35 more 70 seat RJ's? Our union refuses to say...even years after the contract is signed.
We simply don't know how aggressive or lame our union is in negotiations, because they refuse to let us know. To paraphrase what Timbo said earlier, it seems our union feels that the less info they give about how they do things, the less chance they can be held accountable.

You start the festivities with the facts and mirror the masters.
Delta exectutive management pay is up 300% to 700% since bankruptcy.
We need 18% to 20% to hit hourly rates that are over a decade old.
The line pilots are wide awake and paying attention this time.
It is time for a fair and balanced agreement that recoginizes our sacrifice and contribution.
Our bankruptcy contract is no longer required.

I will tell you what, they would be if they thought they could get away with it.
How's 92 hours in the highest position you can hold in New York and never get off the ground?
Come in on Tuesday and leave early Thursday.
]When you are in Atlanta swing by the MEC office on Monday or Friday and count pilots heads.[/COLOR]
Funny like you, if it were not so sad.

C2015 scope prediction:
No change to 76 seat jet or 50 seat jet scope
Alaska code share ended replaced by: More limited Republic C-series code share.
Within a year of the contract signing, ALK-DAL merge. This way mgt doesn't lose its code share ability in an Alaska merger.

The only way for the labor busting backstabbers at RAH "air group" management to get their hooks into larger flying for DL will be under existing loopholes, and that's even if they don't implode under the unstsuainability of their failed "ACMI for the majors" model.
BB is out of airspeed and ideas. It will be fun watching that pig slowly starve.

I have spent countless hours doing ALPA work for years. The majority without flight pay loss.
We have some incredible selfless volunteers. What drove me out was the $800 bottles of wine and $400 cigars while we had pilots on furlough struggling to support their families.
The cancer grows. Did the staff at national who failed to see the upcoming loss of our pensions lose theirs? Did they get fired?
Are the insiders King fired working a deal behind our backs to include reducing profit sharing, longer freezes and more concessions?
Wake up and find the truth.
