Trip7 is a recent hire former regional fo who owes his delta job to either a management guy or a moakist. He doesnt have either enough experience getting boned or enough intellectual honesty to not parrot his sponsor. Critical thought isnt in his tool shed.
Just put him on ignore like I do and realize his vote is a proxy.

Me personally, as soon as the last Chairman's letter came out, I started making phone calls. I thought that we were going to give back PS from how it was written. I was informed that PS is not even on the table largely because of UAL getting to keep theirs.

Actually if you look at Trip7's history, you will find that he has come off a lot from where he was last year in support of the Moakists. Matter of fact I would even go as far to say that he has embraced the dark side in some of his posts. Everyone has a vote and everyone has an opinion.

Time is definitely on the side of Delta pilots. With massive training churn coming up and ever growing profit sharing checks, IMO all we have to do is sit back until Management has a serious offer.
As far a the 76 seaters it's really just a conceptual discussion. For me if an increase of 76 seaters is significantly outweighed by a benefit then I might be open to it.

Neither pay or profit sharing have been discussed yet. I am sure however that if we are willing to accept UAL's profit sharing program management will ink it that day.

The UAL profit sharing formula is not that far off from ours. The difference in payout is driven by the profitability of Delta vs UAL, not a vastly superior formula.

My worry is the mentality behind such an answer.
The answer I would have hoped to hear is 'THERE IS NFW PS IS NOW OR WILL EVER BE ON THE TABLE. PS WAS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR MANY TIMES OVER BY THE SACRIFICES THIS GROUP MADE TO SAVE DELTA. PERIOD. END OF STORY.'
Not some weak justification because of something brand X does or does not have.
Sometimes id swear there are pilots in this group that feel the need to back up to get their paycheck.
Wringing their hands over how 'distressed' institutional investors...... you know, hedge fund managers that blow 100 million on a Christmas party and bonuses for themselves.... are about a delta pilots profit sharing payout.
If this mentality is in any way present at the table......... the next Ta is going to be another step backwards.

You might want to do a little research on that. Hint, look at how each program would treat future growth and pension aspects of both.

Depends on what the trade-off is before I accept it. 717s from C2012 and the demise of the 50 seater far outweighed the small gains in 76 seaters. The past few years a tremendous amount of flying has been returned to Delta Air Lines pilots and that trend is continuing.
As mentioned in the Chairman's letter, "We see significant opportunities to leverage changes the company needs into changes we need that far outweigh any real or perceived negatives."

If you thought the 717s weren't coming and the 50 seaters weren't dying on their own, take a look at what happened last fall with the 737s and 190s. It had absolutely nothing, zero, zilch, and nada to do with whether or not the contract went through. That was management's way of trying to get a few more votes for it from people like yourself that bite off on that.
That being said, I'm in strong agreement with the Chairman's letter over the weekend.

If we are presented with a TA that reduces it by so much as one cent, I think that the negative impact to morale will be evident. Most of us take pride in our work and go above and beyond, even when the company has made it clear they have no intention to back up their statements on the value of the Delta pilots. Touch the PS plan and they would flush an incredible amount of extra effort for which they are paying pennies on the dollar currently.
