So I’m hearing only about 50% of the first 250 elected to flow so far.

That would still substantially shake up DTW and MSP 900, probably a little bit in ATL too.

That doesn’t surprise me honestly. Let’s say 125 decide to take it. Will they then send 125 additional invites to the next batch of pilots?

Consider me ignorant but why would a person pass up a flow? Just personal reasons?

Senior, live in base and don't want to start over at the bottom for a career that won't be long enough to see the top.

Envoy has a couple hundred that have bypassed on flow. It's not as unusual as it sounds.

Probably like the mock bid. Pilots have a tendency to wait till the last minute.

Ah I see now. Thought I originally saw 50% of 250 “first officers” bypassed.

If a significant percentage bypasses, is there any benefit other behind? Or is it just “use it or lose it”?

if you’re 60-64 years old, you live in msp/dtw, drive to work, make top pay, haven’t worked a weekend in 20 years and get every holiday off… you wanna give all that up just to commute to NYC, sit in a crash pad with a bunch of new hire regional FOs and FAs, all for a a 717 type rating and a double breasted jacket? It’s a tough sell to get someone to go back working Christmas again in the glory years of their careers.

But some people just want it that bad, and it’s their personal decision to make. I’ve been told that a lot of people at the top of our list have some lucrative side businesses, so money isn’t an issue for them.

If you're talking about the Colgan 2008 hire. They are right next to mid 2006 Pinnacle and 2007 Mesaba hire. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
